Rowkin Comparison
This is my 3rd pair of Rowkin buds. The first were the bit stereo. I really love the size of them. They fit well and don't fall out of my ears even while moving and working. I did change the silicones to the smallest The sound is just ok on these, No bass at all. The connection is terrible though. They cut in and out all the time which is very annoying. I listen to both podcast and music. I can be sitting on a bench in the park and raise my hand and the music will cut out for a good second or two. I also have problems with the physical button on them. It is kind of stiff and I have to use my nail to push it which pushes the bud further into my ear and causes discomfort. The button can also be covered up by the ear conch. The connection issue was my main disappointment though. They do much better indoors than outside. The charger is cool, but if you are charging it, It can only charge one bud.Second pair is Micro Touch. Same exact size as the first pair. The fit is great. I also changed the silicone to the smallest. The connection is much better and only cut in and out every once in a while. The controls are so much better with the touch and I can control them in my ears now. The companion app is great and allows you to change the equalization of the buds, Much better bass once you upload it to the buds. The charging case is also very nice for these, however I do find it hard to get the first bud out and I have pretty slim fingers. I would image if you had really big hands it would be impossible to get them out of the case. Now the new Ascent Micro. These are definitely bigger than the other two. They fit great into my ears with the silicones that were on them. They also have a rubber ring around them that helps keep them in place. I have not felt like they would fall out at all. I used them at work one night unloading a truck, climbing stairs and ladders and constant standing and bending and they stayed in place. I noticed no discomfort from the ring and had it in my ear for almost 8 hours straight. I think they sound great, much better than the other two sets and after using the app to upload the bass boost sound even better. I've probably used them close to 20 hours and I think they have cut out once or twice so the connectivity is much better. I did use them for one call and they worked ok, the person on the other end said I sounded fine, however when I disconnected and was just using my phone they said I sounded better. The controls are the best yet. They have the same control as the Touch Micro's, but are bent out so the entire face of the bud is exposed and very easy to control. The charging case is bigger than the micro, but works the same. I haven't had an issue with charging like some people have. They buds to have to go in a certain way to charge so you have to pay attention to that. They are much easier to remove from the case. I really love these new ones.Bit Stereo lives in my carMicro Touch stays at workAscent Micro will be my go to's.

A Truly Great Wireless Earbud Option
When these were released I was very intrigued to have an AirPods alternative at a more reasonable price. Overall I am impressed with this product. I wanted buds that I could use for workouts (that would stay in my ears), as well as to toss in my pocket and walk around the city. AirPods seemed a bit too expensive for me, and I am not a fan of their fit or sound. The Rowkin buds, while they never sound particularly "loud", have great clarity and noise isolation. I never feel as if I am unaware of my surroundings, but my music sounds crystal clear, and detailed. You have options with the Rowkin App to change your sound settings, which really add to the range of these buds. I use the bass boost setting, which is perfect for my personal listening habits. I have found earpods from apple to be particularly muddled, and thus I have very happy with the sound of the Rowkin Buds. I typically find that having the volume at about two thirds max is just enough. The Rowkin buds stay in my ears perfectly throughout very vigorous workouts and I am very happy with that.As far as features go... I find that the tapping gestures to control the buds only work some of the time, but that isn't the end of the world. You must be very deliberate with the taps. The phone calls I have taken with the buds have been flawless, and people on the other end say that they hear me perfectly, which is great. The case is great to fit in my pocket, although I do wish it were just a little bit smaller. Another feature I wish these had similar to the Airpods, would but the auto start/stop feature when removing one of the buds from your ear.Overall, this is a really great pair of wireless ear buds. They offer great quality, clarity, ease of use and a compact charging case for on-the-go use. I think some improvements could be made in battery life, case size, touch controls and sound, but this is just being nit picky. These are really awesome wireless headphones and very worth the price. My only other "gripe" is that I wish the blue color was out already because I really would have liked to have purchased those!

Solid build and antennae -- weak acoustics
If you're not a serious audiophile these are a solid choice if you want 100% wireless earbuds with more than average battery life and much higher than average build quality: the recharging case is fast (USB-C), feels _heavy_, and has a satisfying magnetic hood that closes with an audible "clack." I've never had the earbuds drop out on me (or from one another) unless I walked 50 feet away from the audio source with several walls in between. For the price, however, I expected the audio quality to be a good measure better. Regardless of the source (iPhone, Nexus tablet, Macbook Pro) music playback was weak on the low/his and you have to keep the volume to a medium level otherwise it becomes snowy. When used for conferencing I am told the mic is serviceable however devoid of depth: one co-worker described it as listening to a phonograph recording. So in summary: I have heard significantly better music on Bluetooth ear buds at 1/3 the cost -- even a $29 pair of knockoff "eyePods" sounded better, but some of those were "tethered" earbuds (so not entirely wireless), and the rest were plagued with way more frustrating problems like constantly disconnecting from 2' away or terrible battery life: so its a question of what features matter most to you.All that said I'll still keep an eye on Rowkin's product line going forward because 95% of their sector peers are miles behind them in build quality...
