Works fine once I tweaked some settings on my 4th Gen Apple TV
Using this with a fourth generation Apple TV feeding audio to an older Marantz receiver and video to a Panasonic plasma that can only do stereo. When I first plugged it in and played some video with 5.1 sound it screwed up the audio negotiation and only passed through the two surround channels. I had to tweak the Apple TV to force 5.1 output and now it's working fine. Despite what the description says it does not come with a USB cable (I reported this to Amazon but it hasn't been fixed) but like most people I had extras lying around so it didn't really matter. Compared to some of the other audio extractors out there it's a tidy little box and is working fine so far.

Would not connect

Beware
Worked once. Then it shorted and fried my TV. The HDMI input on my TV would not work. Had to get a new TV.

Did not work!
Device did not work at all, emailed vellbox customer service and never received a reply. Bought a similar device from another company that worked as expected.

wont recommend
doest work without a additional usb and i had to purchase additional usb cale to make it work. there was no usb provided along with the adapter. incomplete product
