Too difficult to seat on bullet base
These gas checks look great, well made and I'm sure will swage onto the bullet just fine. One reviewer mentioned the aluminum checks he received were somewhat roughly made. That was not the case with the batch I got, may have tuned their production process. This is my first time to use aluminum checks I am some worried they will not hold up as well as the copper ones. For the price though it is worth the chance. I will add to this review once I've had a chance to fire some bullets with these gas checks.After using these gas checks I'll add my observations. First they fit the base of the bullet too tightly. It is a struggle to get them seated on the bullet base. I had to use a bit of hard wood and tap them down. After running though the sizer they did look OK. However, due to the difficulty of getting these things on I will be going back to the copper ones, even if more expensive. Given the chance that my cast bullet heel could have been oversized (I don't think they were), I only reduced the rating to 4 stars, although 3 might be more appropriate.

Fits my Lee 309-180-R cast bullets very well and crimps on very tight when pushed through the Lee 309 sizer die. Will buy more when I run out.
