It works so well, flies make reservations to get to it
I live in a regular home, but all of a sudden I was having a fly issue - not an abundance, but enough to be aggravating. And being in cat rescue, this did not bode well for anything breakable in the house when said cats see the fly as a toy or prey. However, there is NO fault with this product. If you want to catch flies, attract them to this bait, believe me, they will come. It does what it says it will do.I had purchased the 4 pack, one for the front room, kitchen and outside the patio door. Then I noticed a scent/odor near my desk; it was the trap....not bad mind you, but noticeable and for me, unpleasant. So I moved it to the garage where my trash can and recycling container were housed. Then just a few days later, I checked the one outside the patio door....dead flies were easily an inch deep in the liquid. A couple hundred? And live ones flying around inside waiting their turn to dive into the pool of killer to end their lives, it is that compelling.I thought 'Wow, this stuff is amazing!'Then went to the garage to see what was happening there.A couple of very large horse flies greeted me in tiny little tuxes and told me to step away from the containers and I wouldn't get hurt, I had to wait my turn in line just like everyone else did.I felt, in an enclosed 2 car garage, I had to fight my way back to the door and get in before I let yet another fly inside. It was like a S. King movie.Does this product attract flies? Hell yes it does! Once you mix the potion up to the 'fill line' (which really isn't high at all), it's like flies everywhere in the area send out invitations, even to neighboring states, to come and partake of the incredible deliciousness. You suddenly have more flies that what you had in the first place due to the 'word of mouth' communication by these insects because it's that good. They ALL are drawn to it, like they want to partake and kick the bucket. It's incredible.Do not use it inside your home; there is an odor, slight, but it can be off-putting, and of course, there is the side effect of actually attracting more flies then you had prior.Nor use it in your garage near the trash containers because ...the same will happen. No enclosed, smaller, places.I'm thinking barns or up in trees if you are camping. But if you want to catch flies? This. This product will be your best friend.

REMARKABLY EFFECTIVE...Place at Perimeters of Yard and/or Living Spaces...5 Stars!
The Victor M380 Fly Magnet traps are the most effective method I have discovered to rid my yard of blowflies, fruit flies, and gnats. Simply: 1).open the bait pouch 2).empty the powder contents into the container 3). add water to the fill line 4). replace the lid 5). place in a strategic location in your yard! .....The flies are attracted within minutes to the container. The individual quart size traps will last from a week to a month depending on the size of your yard and insect population. These traps fill quickly for us. Mine last an average of two weeks before I have to dump the contents and re-bait the traps. My successful strategy has been to keep separate traps in strategic corners of our yard. We keep them within 100 feet of our kitchen door wall and garage door, which happen to be main points of insect entry into our home. Thus far it has worked far better than expected. There seem to be no flies in our backyard now, although I notice our fly traps rapidly filling day by day.Although it is possible to use these traps indoors, I recommend against it unless they are hung in a barn, shed, or an outhouse. The traps smell like feces and are therefore not good for living spaces! For indoor spaces, one of the electric traps with ultraviolet lightbulbs, and/or clear window or ‘sticky’ transparent fly traps placed discretely along windows that receive sunlight are more appropriate. I hope this review helps. The Fly Magnet traps have not rid our yard of flies completely, but have come surprisingly close to this lofty goal. 5 stars for a product that does what it claims.

Super gross and super effective
The media could not be loaded. We don't live on a farm, like many of the other reviewers. But as the weather has gotten warmer this summer, more and more black flies started hanging around our garbage and recycling bins, meaning that far too frequently they were buzzing into our house whenever we opened our front door.I've only had the trap outside for 24 hrs or so, but it's already caught a TON of flies as you can see in my picture. (And I checked the trap again 3 hrs later and it had 20+ more in there!) I'm totally amazed and disgusted and thrilled. As many other reviewers have noted, the trap powder is pretty stinky - sort of like dead fish. In the future I'll be sure to fill the trap outside, rather than in the house. But I thankfully don't smell it when I walk nearby outside (yet?), so no issue there. If you're struggling with flies outside, go ahead and get this - it works GREAT!UPDATE: I’ve just posted a video taken 2 days after my first photo. Oh the horror! What’s that movie where the zombies all crawl on top of one another?!? Yeah, that’s what’s happening right now in this terrifyingly effective trap.

They Work! (But so stinky).
This product caught 1000s of flies. Truly. I didn’t know so many flies were even out there. They do smell like fish bait so make sure you put away from where the people are. I’ve even seen them at a few outdoor restaurants. Oh, they are reusable for a while. We will purchase again.

They work.
Living in the upper mid-west countryside means Flys. Our retirement home, a converted dairy barn, now stand fly free inside and nearly fly free in our yard thanks to this remarkable trap.Over the past several years we have filled a few of these traps each year beginning as soon as daytime temperatures rise to the upper 60's. What seemed like a biblical plague of Flys has become virtually fly free. We follow the placement directions and monitor the traps for moisture to maintain maximum effectiveness.Money well spent.

These just work well.
Easy to set up and no mess. I placed mine near garbage cans, and the number of flies it captured was incredible. I gave one to my neighbor, and they told me they bought more.
