Very Good. Would recommend product and company
This is a great project. It was something to do during lockdown last year. It came quickly and was well packaged. Coban guitars were also very helpful and friendly. Overall a very good guitar. The neck fit was spot on and the wood was excellent quality and well painted too. The pickups are very good for entry level and the potentiometers and wiring were excellent.I took my time and used linseed oil on the neck instead of nitrocellulose or similar. This gave the neck a nice colour and really lovely smooth matt feel. I also shielded the cavities with metal tape and I cut the headstock with a small hand router and a jigsaw. the neck is quite fat but I still like the feel. The tuners were very good too.I recommend a few specific tools if it's your 1st time. I bought a small rubber fret hammer, string/action gauge, fret file and protectors (All on Amazon). Some of the frets were a little proud and sharp and required a little filing and tapping too. The kit came with 2 allen keys for the truss rod and the saddles. The only other things you need are a Philips screwdriver and a fret saw and file to shape the head stock. As you can see from the pics I chose not to go with the classic tele head-stock but more of a strat look and an obviously fake fender sticker I had lying about.I really recommend this as a 1st guitar kit. The tele design is a little easier than some other guitar styles to wire and set the intonation and you can easily upgrade or mod it too... I may well do in the future! I learned that that you have to be very precise in everything that you do and small adjustments are the key. Especially when using the truss rod and setting the frets. A bit of trial and error and some patience goes a long way. I ended up with a very playable guitar with good action and intonation. It really looks and feels good and plays well too. There are so many build videos online to help too. It would make a great present for someone learning to play the guitar. The process really teaches you so much about the guitar workings and set up.One last thing worth noting is that the guitar strings supplied were really awful. Use them to test the electrics etc but replace them asap as they really take from the sound. Same goes for the lead provided.I really enjoyed making this guitar. So much so that I then bought a P Bass kit from Coban. The tele is good but the bass is amazing. I died the ash body and varnished it and now nobody Ive shown will believe its a kit! The sound is superb. Again, Coban were an absolute pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend them and their products.

Excellent Kit, Great support
This was my first guitar build and I chose to take the Pre Paint Gloss, which was a good idea if you are starting out. The finish is excellent. The only piece I replaced were the strings, I would recommend the same. There was no instructions with the kit, however, sounds strange, but this made it more fun to build as you had to go and research the building of the guitar. I also shaped the headstock to look like a Fender Telecaster. The guitar is completed and already valued at €300 : )
