More impressive than expected
Beautiful film. I enjoyed, "Mere Christianity" years ago, so I already had an impression of C. S. Lewis' intellect. They did a very nice job putting this together. I don't think 'breaking the third wall' was necessary in the opening or improved the script, but it didn't detract from monologue , and I suppose in some way it was an effort at 'honesty.'

They pleased a longtime CS Lewis fan
I ordered this DVD with some trepidation because I have read and enjoyed most of CS Lewis's books. I was pleasantly surprised with this DVD. It is very entertaining and I felt very close to how it would sound if CS Lewis was speaking himself.

Dialogue of a very Interesting Man
We enjoyed listening to and thinking about C.S.Lewis’s thought process. He spoke about some of the people ,books and events that influenced his life.

Good message but slow delivery
Am a CS Lewis fan - interesting details here about his early life - but enjoyed the play more than the DVD.

A Most Compelling Story
CS Lewis is a beloved writer for his Narnia series, and some know his Sci-Fi side with Out of Perilandria series. He is a known friend of Tolkein , and a prolific writer of theology, but the personal story of his own conversion to Christianity, was gathered from letters, notes, references in his books to make up this fascinating play, performed excellently and with authenticity. It is a gem!

Captures the essence of Lewis.
Excellent performance, with an almost flawless accent (only the occasional hint of the actor's American accent was noticeable). Captures the avuncular brilliance of Lewis, whose contribution to the United Kingdom during the Second World War was second only to Churchill's leadership. Lewis was the U.K.'s spiritual leader, who was unafraid to tackle questions of faith and morality during war time. Highly recommended, especially for Lewis fans.

Excellent- unique
I love the format and the way this man presents. We also purchased several copies to share with some friends and family after we had seen it. It is that good!

Good for intellectuals Only
This will not convert anyone -- only reinforce those who are already past the beginner level of being a Christian. There are no great epiphanies here -- only what works versus what doesn't.
