Finally a phone holder that doesn’t fall over! This holder works great, especially in cars with not so flat dashboards. I have a beetle and it sits perfectly in the one flat area. The only thing is you need to make sure your phone screen switches to landscape, otherwise it’s hard to use some apps.

I'm 99.999% satisfied with this. My only hinky point is that it is extremely flat, but most car dashboards are not completely flat. While it is likely the most practical design, it still seems a little off. If I had the ability to give it 4.75 stars, I would. I had a different one before this one, and it seems to fit a tiny bit better. (It was not available for re-order, so I got this one).

I love this phone holder! I had been searching for a car phone holder that would accommodate my thick phone wallet, and this one works great!

Ordered this to use for an upcoming 800+ drive in an unfamiliar vehicle, so that I could use my smart phone as hands-free GPS that wouldn't fall down, slip off the dash, etc. The unit arrived quickly, packaged very well. The hinge is strong without being unwieldy and there are multiple positions/widths cut into the rubber grip to support different phone models. There is built-in "sticky" rubber on the bottom that comes protected by peel-off film, as well as an additional 3M double-sided sticky pad that is optional. We only used the built-in sticky pad to attach to the dashboard which had a slight slope. The unit never budged and the grip was strong enough to stay in place even when manipulating the gripping hinge. Even though the unit stays put, nice and snug, it was easy to remove by prying it loose, at which point you can either put it back (I had to reposition it slightly, since it does not pivot) or you can recover the sticky pad with the protective film or some saran wrap to keep it clean. There was no mark visible on the dash when we removed it the first time, although only time will tell if it leaves a mark after being in place for several months vs several days.I'm very pleased with this product. I'm leaving it in place against future need-- when not in use it automatically folds flat and is unobtrusive.
