A mobile DJs or musicians MUST HAVE
This gigbar is an absolute stellar setup. I have known a couple people now with this setup and also have had one of my own for DJing gigs. The setup time for this has cut down my other lighting setup by half and replaced my needs for other fixtures. It can light up relatively well but accompanied with other spotlighting, I can light up a dance floor no issue. I love the sound activated mode and it seems to react to the music very well! The build quality is sturdy and the protective case this comes in holds up well. The remote control and foot pedal allows for even more functionality and ease of use. A great set it and forget it light fixture when using the sound activated and can even use various colors across all the lights if wanted. It looks clean and the wires are not hanging around everywhere, and I definitely love the setup.I have not had the chance to DMX this into my setup just yet but it has cooperated very well for other DJs I know and many of them praise this setup for simple dj gig setup.

GREAT LIGHTING SYSTEM
Great lighting system that has a little bit of everything and makes it so much easier to add lights to any gig. Have not tried every light program setting to determine what makes the best setting with music and scene, but they have so many to choose from. They have a blackout button to turn off all the lights when needed temporarily. Saves me a ton of time setting up and tearing down compared to my old system. The bag it comes with is very thin, and I doubt it will last long if abused, so be careful with it. The tripod/stand has its own separate bag, which helps with the weight of the unit when transporting. It is pricey but worth it if you need simple set-up system for mobile gigs.

A steal of a price for a great piece of kit.
Not many things deserve a full 5 star but Chauvet raised the bar with the GigBar 2.0. A massive upgrade from previous models and I'm so glad I got this. The bar contains a pair of LED Derby, LED pars, a laser and 4 strobe effects, which are foot switchable via the included Bluetooth foot-switch. The foot-switch does require a battery. The LED derby's are able to change color, which wasn't available on previous models (another upgrade). The case is padded and form fit. The zipper is strong and the case seems like it would hold up. The light bar is light-weight, which is a great option for the mobile DJ or party host. The stand is basic but can get the lights up high. Some might want a better stand, but for my purposes with quick set-up/tear-down, this stand is decent.I used these lights for a barn wedding and GigBar 2.0 filled the space nicely. 2 would have been optimal but a single one was able to give the effect well. We ran these for 6 hours, no problem. The barn was long and the lights didn't draw much power at all. I had many compliments from participants about the laser and light bar, which tells me, this was a solid purchase. I haven't had much practice yet with the DMX options, but so far I'm able to assign color control of the lights and control over the strobes, which makes this an amazing piece of kit in my current rig. I'm sure with more time, I can control more features and unlock the bar's full power.I have no problem recommending this to anyone trying to get started, adding additional lights to a current rig, or wanting lights in general.

If you think you need one of these, I can safely say that yes, you do need one!
I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality when I unpacked this from the excellent semi-soft case, likewise with the quality of the stand with its included bag. Nice and bright for a turnkey unit of this size. The pars are nice, the derbies are very cool, the laser rocks, and the strobes are bright. It also surprised me that it works as well as it does in sound-activated mode, although I mostly plan to use it with a DMXIS USB controller so I can synch it to Ableton Live, which works nicely also. Setting this up and taking it down is really quick and easy, too. Sure, they could probably be brighter, but they're bright enough. I don't have a read on the durability as yet - I've seen some quibbles here with Chauvet gear in general, but the appearance is that much of that comes from people who gig with this stuff every weekend and then have a sad because one light crapped out after three years, and that kind of user probably is expecting too much, IMO - I wouldn't characterize this as a professional-level light unit, but then it's not priced like a professional-level unit either. Would buy again, and I might in fact get a second one at some point, although I'm more likely to get more different DMX stuff to go with this. (Think Chauvet Colorstrips and stuff...)

Overall great, case & stand bag are wanting.
I upgraded from a bulky 15 year old light system, and this is 1000x more user friendly. Itβs great, until the bag & case. The bag for the stand is super thin, and almost like a plastic film. It ripped the 1st time I put the stand in. It wouldnβt cost much to actual source a decent bag.The zippers on the case are cheap. One of the zipper was actually missing a whole side from manufacturing. They are very poor quality. While the light bar us great, Chauvet Pro misses the mark in the bag & case.

Light coverage is Awesome!
The media could not be loaded. Love this package. I have been contemplating buying it the last 3 months. I compared it to other sets and it the packaging, portability, and ease of assembly that were the deciding factors. The lights are awesome and responsive to sound. Pricey, but you get great quality for that price!
