Do not buy this unless you have an above ground pool. it does not work on a real pool.

This works, if you're willing to tinker with it.The issue is not with the device, but the hoses.1 - of the box, it has enough hose to cover a 12' round pool - that's it.I have a 15' pool and needed another 2 sections of 4' hose at a cost of $20 extra. if you change or add extra hose - you'll want something as stiff as the hose that comes with it. I tried to go cheap and use a thin plastic sump pump hose - the suction from the pump made the hose constrict and curl up tight like a snake coil - that prevented the cleaner from moving more than a few feet from the wall.2 - regardless of what you use, this - or really any pool cleaner without swivel connectors in the hose - will not be adequate to remove all the dirt. The hose itself limits the path of the sweeper and you'll seen a couple of patterns develop with dirt left in the spots not covered.Does not matter how long you let the sweepers work, they will cover the same patches over and over again. The better sweepers use special couplers between the sections of hose that allows each sections to twist and turn independently. That random twisting allows for much greater coverage on the pool bottom.Bottom line - it's just ok; less tedious than sweeping by hand, but you'll still have patches of dirt that you will need to grab the hose and guide the sweeper over by hand to get the entire pool clean.couple more notes:I chose to use a skimmer adapter and that was extra cost too. The cleaner does come with multiple connections for wall inlets, even some that accommodate the Intex style vinyl pools, but a skimmer adapter was easier to attach/detach when needed.Also, be prepared to spent time adjusting the sweeper weight - it's a blue collar that attaches to the hose and weighs it down to allow the sweeper to stay flat on the pool bottom. It will take time moving it up and down to get the right balance. Too high or low on the hose, and the sweeper will not return to a flat position after it turns using a wall,
