A Near Perfect Everyday Wedding Band
I found this ring because, if I'm honest, I'm a schmuck. I lost my titanium wedding band in the sleepless nights after our daughter was born and I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a replacement right away, so having seen ads for silicone bands, I thought I'd check them out. After a read of the Wirecutter article on the subject, I thought I'd try SafeRingz -- after all, for the price what did I have to lose. I didn't know what to expect, other than what I thought would be a temporary item until we could save up the money for a "real" ring. Little did I know that a couple months later I would be telling near anyone who will listen how great this little ring is!PROSUnlike a metal band, the silicone band flexes and stretches. This means that when you shake hands with someone enthusiastic there isn't the pain as your fingers bend. It also means, for me at least, that typing is MUCH more comfortable and I don't have the issue of the ring being overly tight or loose depending on the temperature. I feel the look of the ring is just right for my style. No one on close inspection is going to think this is a high end piece of jewelry, but is has a classic, understated look that I love. For me the "platinum" color was just right to replace my titanium band.CONSOne of the selling points is that the ring will break under pressure so you don't lose a finger - and there are times when one of my kids grabs it on my finger that I wonder if the ring is about to break. It hasn't yet, and seems no worse afterward, but there are times it feels a little flimsy -- but this is a VERY small concern. The sizing suggestions on the SafeRingz website were very helpful for me in knowing what size to order - but I wish they had them on the Amazon product page as well (they weren't when I ordered).OVERALLThis ring feels and looks great. It is more comfortable than any other ring I've worn (not that it's a huge sample set...) and if I ever have any issues I will gladly order another. I happily wear it every day and, unlike my metal band, I often forget I'm wearing it until I look down and smile. A wonderful product made even better by a fantastic price.

Perfect for Martial Artists!
I recently had an injury to my left hand that enlarged my knuckles, so now I can't get my normal wedding band over it. It's been bothering me for some time, because I haven't been able to wear any band on that hand (I have small hands, and other bands that I have that will fit over that knuckle rotate and irritate me). Then I discovered this ring. A martial arts friend wears one like this, so that's where I got the idea to try one. I settled on this one, as I like the metallic sheen.I got it on over my damaged knuckle without any problems or pain. From a distance, thanks to the metallic sheen, it looks like it's metal, not silicone. It's so light and comfortable, you can barely tell you're wearing it.When you do what I do - Filipino Martial Arts - it's *always* a risk to wear rings. I've actually had a ring cut off due to injury, and since that time, I've always removed my rings before training. Now I don't have to!It won't catch on a partner (or any of the tools I train with, including weapons, as there is no gap between the band and my finger), it won't get bent or hurt me, and if I get hit on the hand again (or rather, when I do), taking it on and off is easy - and in a pinch, I can cut it off without worrying about the expense of repairing a precious metal ring.If you're a martial artist, you gotta swap out your normal wedding ring for this when you're training. You'll be very happy with the results!UPDATE: I've been wearing this ring for a few weeks now and it's fabulous! I was at a jewelry counter with my daughter and the clerk pointed at my ring and said, "Titanium"? She was so surprised to find that it's silicone! Awesome ring!UPDATE 2: After wearing this daily for over a year, I got it caught and a small tear developed. So I ordered another one - the silver one - and it's just as awesome as the platinum one. Looks great!

Same Ring, Three Years and Counting!
We both love this ring! It's been a little more than THREE YEARS with this ring and it's still going strong! He's never really taken it off (other than to show others it's not actually metal) and he's not one to be gentle on things either. Not only does he work construction (framer), but he's also an Army Reserves Combat Medic. After a close call with his metal ring catching on a nail at work, I knew I wouldn't be able to live with knowing I was the reason he could have lost a finger and I looked for a safer solution. After a ton of research, I wasn't thrilled with having a ring that just looked cheap and rubbery. I finally came across this company and was surprised to see how much these rings looked like metal. When it came, I was amazed by its quality and how much it looked like metal!I can't believe how many people STILL think it's a metal ring and are totally confused when they see him stretching it and playing around with it. We get questions all the time.I went with a gunmetal gray in size 12.5-13. I would say the only thing that has really changed is the thickness and the luster. But, really that's on him. He has a bad habit of spinning it on his finger against the steering wheel, when he turns.I have to say, I love that this company also supports the military with purchases made. I had no idea at the time of purchase, so that was a nice surprise!Attached photos: both are taken today, April 22, 2019, three plus years later. One was taken with flash, the other without. I wish I had a photo of when we first put it on him.UPDATE: the ring finally broke last week while cliff diving in Hawaii on our honeymoon. :(But, we would totally buy again.
