An excellent way to cook
Excellent product. Runs on 110V, so you will need a step down converter to operate in India. Great, effortless cooking comes home with this: plug in overnight for fantastic hot breakfast, or plug in in the morning for mouthwatering lunch preparations. Coupled with the Google searches for Crock-Pot recipes, an absolute hit for people who like delicious meals without the hassle of standing and tending to the cooking.

My mother just went into assisted living and they are not allowed to have a stove. This little Crock Pot allows her to still enjoy her love of cooking a little something in her apartment. She always made wonderful soups and stews and now she still can. Just perfect!

Crockpot started the slow cooker trend
I love it! It has a removable ceramic insert. It's a perfect size for one or two people and is a Godsend for hot humid days when you don't want to use the oven.

Great Little Crockpot
We replaced the exact same model only because I used and abused the one we had to the point of scouring it with the pumice scrubbies which I needn't have. A 5 minute soak and our old one would've washed up just fine - impatience on my part. This little Crockpot serves the 2 of us quite well and comes in handy when entertaining company (ex., dips that must be kept warm to be awesome). I use the old abused one (my fault, not the Crockpot's!) as a most excellent winter Spice simmerer. I truly think there must be a special place in Heaven for the one who invented the Crockpot. Thank you!

Great little crockpot!
Great little crockpot! Seems to be well made and so far, so good! Probably will last me for years as I don't do a lot of crockpot cooking, but I plan to do more so time will tell. But, I have no worries especially considering the price! :)

It works great still.
I have used my large crock-pot since I got it Christmas, 1980! It works great still...but now there are just the 2 of us and, while I still love it and use it for soups and dinners that I make ahead and freeze, it doesn't work well for the dinner meal for 'just us." I decided to get this one and I was elated with the first use, yesterday. I put 2 pork chops in with a little water and a can of cream of mushroom soup and placed it on low. A few hours later, when it was time for dinner, the chops came out very tender and moist and very tasty. I highly recommend it for 2 or 3 people.

2 1/2 crock pot
This 2 1/2 qt crock is a great size for smaller quantities. I have a 5qt that I use frequently but wanted something smaller. It was difficult to decide between the 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 but I am pleased with the 2 1/2. It will certainly cook sauces and fondue but it will cook four large boned chicken breasts or soup for four. I cooked a small beef roast with onions and carrots and it was great. My other crockpot is "auto". This Crock is off-low-high. It has not been a problem. The high will have spagetti sauce bubbling in about 1 1/2 hrs. Clean up is easy and the unit feels solid including the switch. The lid fits good with a stainless rim edge. I have had the unit about three weeks and I am going to buy one for my 92 yr old live-alone father-in-law!B F

GOOD LITTLE SLOW COOKER
Perfect size slow cooker at great price. I needed a small slow cooker since I cook for myself. This cooker is large enough so I have leftovers. It heats up quickly and evenly. Great value.

Came with big crack but was warranted
Great customer service from the factory, unit came with cracked crock ceramic from upper lip and down the side but distributor send a whole new complete crock that had a uncracked pottery portion

It works.
It does cook things faster than some larger crockpots will. But I live in a dorm, so I'm usually not away for 9 to 12 hour stretches. I can cook lunch at breakfast, or I can get up at noon and still have something ready for dinner by 5 or 6.If you want something that you can start before you leave for work in the morning and have ready and not overcooked by the time you get home at night, I would NOT recommend this, because it doesn't have a timer that will switch it to "Warm" when it'd done cooking. It'll just keep cooking. But it is a good buy for dorm residents that want to eat real food every once in a while, or who are looking to save money on meal plans or eating out.Just don't start something unless you know you'll be back within four or five hours to turn it off.

Works well but don’t be surprised when it stains
The inner, removable pot stains and has to be bleached after each use. It works well and would be a good gift.

Happy with purchase
Bought this for an elderly lady and she has no trouble with it at all. Everything she has made has come out perfectly. Easy to use and just what she wanted.

Every Cook's Best Friend
Whether people want to admit it or not, there are going to be days when you wake up and just know you aren't going to able or willing to whip up a meal at the end of a (most likely) long day. My family has always had Crock Pots. Always. I bought this one for my mom, so now she has three or four different sizes. If I could find somewhere to store them, I probably would too. Literally my best friend when I know I'm going to have a full day with very little free time to do much else.

great slow cooker
This slow cooker replaced a larger 5 quart cooker. Although it only has two settings, it has been a great kitchen addition. The high setting cooks food quite fast because it is a smaller crock pot so I usually use the low setting. It is great for meals for two people and is easy to clean up if you remember to spray the crock before putting in ingredients. It is a round crock pot even though the picture may make it look oval shaped. It definitely is a keeper.

Best Yogurt maker on Amazon
I purchased this 2.5 quart crockpot for one reason- to make homemade yogurt. All the yogurt maker reviews on Amazon reported major problems. Either the machine doesn't work as promised or the yogurt is heated at too high a temperature during the cooking process. What's the point in making homemade yogurt if you kill off all the good bacteria? So off I went to the internet to research various yogurt making techniques. I learned that the crockpot method was easy even for a total novice. Almost everything I needed was already found in my kitchen. This new crockpot makes perfect yummy yogurt every time. The size is perfect for any small family. Each (half gallon) yogurt batch lasts 5 days so nothing goes to waste. Yogurt goes sour as it gets older. Making smaller batches keeps my yogurt sweet which is the way I prefer it. It works exactly as described and it cleans up easily. I'd recommend this to anyone with a small family who wants to make yogurt at home or who needs a small crockpot.
