Highly Recommended by a DIY Sailor.
I am in the midst of a sprayhood (dodger) project for my small boat and am following the clearly written guide in this book ( 5 pages, with 17 drawings). This book is also contained in the last 130 pages of Don Casey's Sailboat Maintenance Manual, about 900pp, which I have. The Canvaswork and Sail Repair is well illustrated with about 3 drawings on each page. The descriptions are excellent, and for my project it includes the construction of a tube bending device, which I have successfully built and used. Now I have ordered the necessary fittings, fabric and window plastic. I intend to follow the detailed sewing instructions. Hopefully the sprayhood will look something like the drawing in the attached photo. If you would like to sew for your motor or sail boat then you should not be without this book, which contains about 30 projects not counting the sail repair items.
