Olive and the Big Stream (Olive Flyfishing) Paperback – April 15, 2009

Kirk Werner has done a fantastic job with all three of the Olive books. They are colorful, fun, and loaded with facts about fly fishing. We started reading these books when my son was three years old. He had already fallen in love with fishing at that time, and these books reinforced that love. The books are kind of long (they take about 20 - 25 minutes to read), but my son never cared about the length. They are very detailed and my son loves being able to identify the flies in his dad's fly box. If you have a child who loves to fish, these books are perfect!

Bought the entire 3-book series of these books and my 9 and 7 year-olds poured through them all immediately and loved them! I haven't read them myself but I haven't seen my kids read so many books so quickly and enjoy them so much since the Dave Ramsey books for kids. Just goes to show kids actually like to learn something while reading something pleasurable.I highly recommend these books to all fly anglers with kids!

I can't wait till my nephew - he's turning 2 this year - get's old enough for these!

This book series is darling and educational. They are too advanced for my two year old but she still loves the pictures and listening to me read. These are my favorite books!

Fun story line that also includes practical techniques and lessons used to have a fun successful fishing trip. Olive has a great adventure for her first time in the "real" water. Great story for the kids.

This is a great series of books. The niece & nephew I bought them for are now arguing over who gets to go fishing first.

Cute book that teaches kids about fly fishing in a fun creative way.

I bought this as (along with two other Olive books) a gift for a niece and nephew and they really like the book.
