We shopped in detail to get the LG Black Chrome Refrigerator- then just automatically bought the dishwasher and microwave. Big mistake.The bottom rack won't stay on track when pulled out when full of dishes, usually followed by a yelp from my wife. The racks have many little small parts that all must be aligned and meshed perfectly for it to work, and it often doesn't- needing everything to be readjusted wen the door won't close. The middle rack has two positions, but in the lower position it won't wash as it blocks the soap dispenser- resulting in a goo of wet soap and cloudy dishes after the lengthy wash cycle. The middle wash arm has to engage a plug in the dishwasher back snugly, or it doesn't work- again- taking some time to make sure everything is set. Get it right the dishes are clean, get it wrong you wasted an hour and a half and need to try again. For an expensive dishwasher, this is just a complicated plastic waste of money. Just makes us sick in the lack of consistency in this LG product- while the rest (washer, dryer, frig, and microwave are great- this is just crap.)The only good thing is it is very quiet, and when done it has a nice song for you like any other LG.

Buyer beware!!! LG Appliances are horrible!!! I recently remodeled my whole kitchen and liked the way the Black stainless steel appliances looked. I’m usually a Maytag fan but they didn’t carry the Black stainless steel so I went with LG. HUGE mistake!!! The dishwasher is junk in less then 3 months the dishwasher needed a whole new power board. After dealing with customer service and getting the runaround I finally had my dishwasher fixed after 3 weeks of non use now here it is 6 months later I’m having the same problem. This time customer service is worse. They sent the work order to 3 different places that don’t come to my area spent hours on the phone and I’m already 2 weeks without a dishwasher and still dealing with this problem. This is a thousand dollar hunk of junk! That’s not the only problem the 3rd Rack is useless, it doesn’t dry your dishes, it takes 2 hours to complete a load, the tines are flimsy and always fall over causing you to break dishes at times, it’s always humid inside the dishwasher that creates an odor all the time and I pre rinse my dishes and clean the trap regularly. I have nothing nice to say about it except that it’s nice to look at and it’s quiet. Especially now because it doesn’t work! If you value the opinion of others and the reviews you read do not buy LG! I’m already Experiencing problems with my stove and my fridge has dents in it from just regular use. It’s like it’s made out of putty you look at it and it dents. LG should stick to making TVs. I’m highly disappointed and can’t wait to replace all of my appliances with Maytag!

Hi, I bought this dishwasher from Best Buy for the reason that it matched the remaining black stainless appliances. Truly a mistake! I hate this dishwasher due to the fact it take 2 hours to complete a cycle and the dishes remain dirty, have a soapy residue and specks all over. I have to re wash by hand. The only good thing is that it looks sleek and it is very quiet ....but it is not a dishwasher...it is a dishdisaster!I contacted the customer support and they say "Our appliances are made different than others"...this was the response when I told them my 10 year old GE did a fabulous job in washing dishes in less the time and in less the rinse aid and detergent.They just gave me tips to run a clean cycle. I am not done with this fight! I highly recommend other buyers to not to buy for the looks. Also black stainless steel scratches easily! The range I got already scratched and its black stainless steel LG. So disappointed!

This is by far the absolute worst dishwasher I have ever owned. All of the racks rusted within a year and the soap dispenser broke around the same time. I can't believe I wasted my money on this piece of crap-

Where to start??? So far my 1 1/2 year old LG dishwasher does work (unlike some other reviewers) but needs heavy wash to get anything clean (as noted over 2 hour cycle). The racks are awful - obviously no testing was done in real life situations. Nothing gets clean in 3rd rack as the spray arm is blocked by the dishes in the second rack. Really bad design. I won't be buying any LG again as I also owned an LG washer that was awful (sold it with our last house so it became someone else's problem!)

Purchased this new LG dishwasher from Best Buy. Literally the worst purchase I ever made. Dishwasher didn't work as well as my cheap builder grade dishwasher but also stopped working after only 90 days! After more than 10 calls/emails back and forth between LG and their overseas customer service....there is still NO resolution. After this experience, I vow to NEVER EVER purchase an LG product again. HORRIBLE customer service. Will probably have to eat the $800 and go purchase another dishwasher as they have done nothing to assist even after 30 days of consistent warranty filing.

This is not for THIS LG but designs the same on almost all of them. Notice how many reviews are for NEW owners who are delighted with their products. I am an unhappy owner whose fancy LG died after a little over 4 years. Error code and pump failure. Cost to repair out of warranty was more than half price of new unit. AND for the past 12-14 months the unit was making a squealing noise. Stay away from LG dishwashers. New appliances are now disposable in less than 5 years...sad

I purchased an LG refrigerator and dishwasher. The refrigerator packed in when 13 months old, it now takes up space in our garage. Today, our 2 year old LG dishwasher gave up the ghost.The customer service at LG is pitiful.
