Worth the money for a simple portable caliper
I needed a relatively cheap caliper for use in a machine shop and getting a digital one was my choice since I am kind of lazy. This one looks nice, works fine, and hasn't had any defects that I could find. There is an "unspoken rule" when buying calipers to hold the up to a light in the closed position and see if any light filters through the measurement tip, this shows if they were manufactured correctly and precisely. Mine sadly did not pass this test, but for my necessities it was fine (you zero it out anyway). My only complaint is the wheel to move the measurement arm smoothly is too loose for my liking. I prefer the ones that are very stiff and don't wobble but again, it works. The case it comes it has quite a bit of space for things to move around, plus it is all hard plastic, so I get worried if it were to ever fall in the case and get rattled around. All in all, a perfectly fine option for <$30.

Full Metal Jacket
This is one of those tools one does not normally associate with programming, but one which I have a use for. In my business, we need to do offline reprints of documents which are initially printed on large web presses. We start with a page which has some images on it, and then we run it through a laser printer. The caliper comes into play when we need to position what we're actually printing, as we take the offsets- as measured by the caliper- and put them into the original program to adjust the position of our imaging. At less than $30, this instrument gives me a much more accurate measurement than some inexpensive ones we had been using, and the jaw stays in place when I'm doing overlays on the light table.The thing that really caught my eye when I was shopping, though, was "Full Metal Jacket". It's all metal, and I absolutely love it.

Best caliper for sub $30 price point
Ive been in the machining/tool and die trade for 24 years and this caliper is well constructed and sturdy.These have the construction of a caliper 2 to 3x the price highly recommend whether you are just starting out or have been using calipers for years you will not be dissapointed

Inconsistent & Inaccurate
I knew the moment I put them in my hand, they felt cheap, gritty and lose. Title says it all, Inconsistent & Inaccurate, therefore useless. Buy the Anytime Tools calipers instead. I usually buy those and decided to get a digital display instead of a Dial. Well these are on the way back to Amazon and the Anytime Tools are on the way. I do not recommend these if you measure in thousandth.

Cannot use manually
I bought this product knowing it was inexpensive because I would be using them in the field and they would be exposed to very harsh conditions. When I opened them I realized they only have a scale marked in cm, not cm's and mm's. If you are looking at the digital display only they work fine, but if you try to manually read them, you can only get accuracy to the nearest cm, you need to guess on the mm's. Look at the scale in the photo, i didn't figuring all calipers would have mm marks, this one does not.

Very Accurate.
This is a great caliper for the money. Feels heavy duty and is very accurate. I zero it out on every critical measurement just to be sure. I would definitely recommend.

Has a catch/super stiff from .500”-1.000”
It works but has a catch/super stiff from about .500”-1.000”. It smooths up after that area. It seems to be accurate just really bad QC, it should have never left the manufacturer like that. I would go with a better quality option when I buy another digital caliper.

Works great!
These things work good for me. I’ve used them for a little bit of machinist work, and a lot of reloading. They’re a little on the heavy side, but on the lighter side on your wallet.

Hard on batteries
The unit is hard on batteries and only lasts two weeks with one set of batteries, even when turned off. Otherwise it seems to be ok.

Good value.
Caliper works well and is good value for the price. Do not expect top end caliper. I am using mine as an extra one to have around and it is perfect for the cost.

Not super impressed
Came quick. Aluminum body is fairly nice, accuracy is sub par. No better than my Mastercraft one I got on sale for $12 CAD

Product is not a quality product. Does not zero out. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If I could give it a Zero Star I would.
