Excellent, works very well and easy to use.
An example of one of my Cognac-colored shoes that were mirror-polished with Brown shoe polish. I decided I wanted to remove the brown and mirror-shine with neutral instead. This product removed the brown easily.

Quality product
Works as advertised. Removed old polish and cleaned up leather. Good value but really smells. Use in ventilated area. A little goes a long way!

JUST SO SO FOR GIVING A MAT FINISH TO POLISHED SHOES BUT...
not an impressive product for giving a mat finish to polished shoes but that's not its intended purpose, so i can't knock it down much. people use it for taking a polished shoe or boot to a mat finish, so i purchased it for that use on a lightly polished pair of new cowboy boots. it only reduced the mat quality about 20% after one use. would probably work better for that with another try. but since this product is made for leather cleaning and removing old polish, i can't fault it much for removing brand new polish that was meant for the boot. hence 4 stars. bottom line: if you are looking to remove new polish from boots or shoes because you want a mat finish, this may work a bit, but you may wish to research if there are other better solutions. for its intended purpose, cleaning leather and removing old polishes, it may well be excellent, tho that's not what i got it for.

Good product
Everything is like others say. But I got my bottle busted, it was leaking even though it was in bigger box which took some liquid. Can you send replacement? I got 2/3 of it. Product is not returnable b/c is hazardous. Andrew

Very strong cleaner
Excellent cleaner that will exterminate any stains. You can tell it's powerful right out of the box since it has a strong chemical smell; make sure to air out properly when using this bad boy. I've used this for worn shoes with snow marks and it has done the job. Very powerful stuff. Be careful when using it as it's strong.

Good stuff, but not the strongest Saphir finish remover
Why is Amazon requiring me to describe the size fit of this product, before letting me write a review? Completely not applicable. Weird. Anyway, I just wanted to let people know that while this product does strip a leather finish, you may really have to work at it. I found out after I started working with this product that Saphir makes a stronger, acetone-based finisher remover, which likely would have been a better choice for my project. It's called Saphir Dècapant. Also, some kinds of spots just won't come out, no matter what you use on them!! I ended up redyeing the shoes I was working on to a nearly black shade of mahogany to disguise the permanent spots (which came from mold).

I used boot stretcher spray on my new leather boots and it stained the leather. I thought I’d ruined them, but I bought this and applied it to the stained area liberally and let it dry and they’re perfect again! I can treat them with Dubbin to waterproof them now and they will look stunning!

I’m new to dying shoes and with this product plus a heat gun, I’m able to remove multiple layers of dark Angelus leather dye in no time, amazing! Better than Acetone.

Get rid of the excess wax and product on your leathers and turning the surface to a “mate” finish. Strong “paint thinner” smell, definitely not as natural has their other products but gets the job done. I got similar instant results with regular gasoline but trust Saphir’s brand to be better in the long run loll A small amount was good enough and didn’t remove original factory colours but that depends on the leathers :-)

Un-loved pair of leather Oxford shoes were taken out to wear and covered with salt stains - my bad! Looked online and did a 4-day process: Day 1: rubbed the shoes with a mixture of baking soda and watered-down white vinegar, I left them to dry overnight. Did this twice. Day 3 and 4: applied this liquid allowed them to dry again overnight and repeated the application of this fluid (with a clean rag) and bang! The next morning the shoes were totally clean and ready to be re-polished. In effect the combination of the baking soda/vinegar stripped off the salt and this liquid removes and lingering polish, taking the shoes almost down to plain leather. Now, the shoes are like new. Bit expensive for so small a bottle (?) and I used 1/3 of it on one pair of shoes but far, far cheaper than a cobblers or a new pair of oxfords! Recommend this.

A dollop of hand sanitiser slithered out of my hand onto my brand new handbag and despite wiping it off immediately it left a large and very noticeable mark. Having looked on the web for tips to get rid of it, I saw this product mentioned and promptly bought some. I rubbed it on and saw the mark disappearing before my eyes. It has almost completely disappeared. It's nice to find something that actually does what it promises.
