Very versatile
I use this machine for just about everything. Reheats leftovers better than any appliance I have tried. The paddle that moves in the lower pan keeps the food cooking evenly, or it can be removed. Nice to do fries, and they stay in the bottom, staying hot while the burgers cook in the top. I do bacon and sausage in the top and the plastic cover and the pans all go in the DW so clean up is a breeze. Cooks chops, chicken, and steaks to perfection.

Absolutely worth it!
I have used the original actifry for over 8 years and have had my eye on this 2 in 1 version for awhile now. Too bad T-fal made me route it from Canada. They should make it more widely available because it is so much more versatile than the original. The main bowl is bigger than the original, and now I can pop meat or another side in the top tray and have it cook at the same time. Everything from roasted veg to fish to burgers and fries! So much better than other brands ATTEMPT at a versatile air fryer!

Missing Advertised Snack Tray
The fryer is amazing and works great but it didn’t come with the snack trays as listed in the product description. I contacted the seller and will update my review once they respond. I will return if is still doesn’t come since the same model is available for less from other sellers without the snack tray.

2 in 1 feature makes it worth it: cook meat and sides at same time
I love this 2 in 1 air fryer; there are less expensive models out on the market but the 2 in 1 makes it worth it. I always use the meat tray when cooking veggies or potatoes on the bottom. My entire meal is cooked at once and together! It also makes the best home fries for poutine!

Do Both Trays Spin Simultaneously?
Do both trays spin simultaneously? I can't seem to figure how to make that work, the documentation is not very clear.

No-fat foods, but take care in the process
I've been using an Actifry for about three years now, and wanted to replace my older unit with a new one since a couple of parts had suffered a bit of damage. So, this unit arrived as a replacement. To begin, the Actifry helps you cook with very little oil (they say a tablespoon of oil, but you can cook things like fries with a teaspoon worth, or a pat of butter if you want). In reality, that's true, but you have to be somewhat careful about the food you're cooking. Estimates of how long they take to cook are rough: as long as you watch the food, and don't overcook, everything works really well. We use our Actifry mostly for fries (23 minutes seems about perfect but it does depend on quantity) and vegetables (which can range from a few minutes to much longer) again depending on the type and quantity. If you put carrots in with your fries, for example, they will come out as shriveled stubs: they should be either added part-way through, or done separately. Also keep in mind products like fries take a little while to get used to compared to deep frying, because the texture of the food is different. I use our Actifry almost every day, and the old one held up well for three years with no damage until a couple of things just cracked. Still, after that many years of nearly daily service, I'm fine with its reliability. The two-layer approach was what attracted me to this version, and like the basic unit, it takes practice to learn how to use it properly. You need to keep an eye on your food of it will dry out and shrink, especially things like fish! But, with a little learning curve, the Actifry will produce lovely food quickly and with very easy cleanup. There's no doubt the food is less oily when cooked in the Actifry, and it will retain more of the vitamins than other ways of cooking, so this is a good choice for health-conscious people. It's also easy to use, easy to clean, and convenient to store. I doubt this will be the last Actifry I buy!

This actifry is a great tool to have around the kitchen
This actifry is a great tool to have around the kitchen. I wouldn't call is a fryer, more like a stir fry oven. I have made chicken wings and fries with it and things come out crispy but not fries crispy. On a way thsts good because it prompted a healthier diet. The big cons I have about this machine is that it is quite bulky and takes up quite a bit of space in the counter top and it is quite hard to clean especially if you cook anything with sauce. The sauce really sticks to the paddle and with all the books and cranny it is hard to get every little bit of grease off. Also, its quite loud when cooking, I actually had to speak louder to someone else while the device was on. Also the lid can get pretty hot to the touch. I had to be careful when I went to open the lid when the food was done cooking. Other than that it's a great device ( it creates juicy chicken and healthy yummy fries!), and it also comes with a little cook book of received which I need to try soon!

Worth the cost
I will say this, it is expensive for what it is. However it is totally worth it, the fries I cooked got crispy and tasted great but didn't taste or feel like they where drenched in oil and my kitchen didn't smell like a fast food restaurant afterword either. The clean up was easy and fast and it was easy to set up and use. Like I said its a lot of money but its worth it.Also the fact that it was made in France and not China is nice as it felt solidly built and not cheaply made.

Versatile, good quality machine
One of the best purchases I have made - my daughter bought one too and loves it - and another first class 'warehouse deal'. Actifry arrived 'as new' and works perfectly. My favourite aspect of it is the sort of recipe where I can throw all the ingredients into pan and leave it to stir them and cook in short time. Think of saute potatoes with garlic and bacon , think of stir fries, think of Asian noodles, etc., and that's before you cook on second layer too. There is really no limit as Youtube will demonstrate. The quality of the machine is first class and the parts can go in a dishwasher. I prefer though to wash them by hand in a matter of minutes.

Makes nice baked potatoes
Makes nice baked potatoes. The french fries are not at all close to what they taste when cooked in a deep fryer. But you will have less calories and fat with it. Nice thing that after you have set the timer you can forget about it until they are ready. The unit is very big, a bit unhandy to store away.
