Fantastic Hitch carrier
This thing is awesome. I use this to carry my KTM 300 (225 LBS) around and it is fantastic. Super light so installing is a simple task for one person. The ramp is nice too. They even include a bolt to shrink the front tire gap if you have a smaller tire vehicle your trying to haul. I have used this for about 600 miles and it hasn't twisted or shown any sign of ware. The quality you get for the price compared to other hitch carriers makes the ST3401 stand alone. The only negative is the anti-tilt system does look to leave some marks on your hitch because its bolted up to the hitch. Im aware this can be avoided with some other hitch "guard". All in all, great hitch carrier. Recommend to anyone and everyone. Well done Kage Racing.

Great price and it works!
Inexpensive and works as advertised. You can't go wrong for this price. I fabricate for a living, I couldn't build it for twice the price. Easy to assemble and mount to your receiver. Get a slight running start and your bike is on. I'm loading a YZ125 with this mounted to my Dodge Ram. Even at that height my 50+ year old body had no trouble loading my bike. Anyone complaining is probably trying to push a 300 pound plus bike which isn't easy for anyone. You need not spend more, it gets the job done.

Good carrier with junk ramp. Avoid this product.
Carrier arrived with box damaged. 1/3 of hardware was missing. Ramp was slightly bent in the middle. Decided to just deal with it vs trying to return it. Carrier itself is nice and sturdy.Ramp is flimsy garbage. It flexed when unloading my 230lb yz 250 and unhooked itself causing the front of the bike to fall and bending the flimsy ramp further. Ramp is useless making carrier useless. Hopefully this review will get someone's attention and they will send me a new junk ramp that I can reinforce BEFORE it fails.Don't waste your time or money on this carrier til they start supplying a usable ramp.

Please Kage! a little help here. make it easy on us.
Package arrived torn up pretty badly. Hardware was loose inside torn box, however I can sympathize with the difficulty in securing such a heavy sharp item in cardboard.Ramp and rack seems very sturdy. I like that the bar is steel and the ramp/ rack aluminum.Unfortunately, some of the worst instructions I have seen!. IE "insert long bolt in proper place" where does that long bolt go and what is it for? in the instructions it states that its to secure the ramp. I dont see how and I dont see how the ramp can go on either side of the rack. Also, the instructions dont tell /show which way the rack is mounted on the hitch bar, but I assume that the triangular aluminum brackets that span the rack are intended to have the open side up, not the pointed side up? and the open space is for the front tire? I wish that the ramp could be used on either end of the rack also (to load the bike then unload it off the opposite side) instead there is only one bar from which to hang the ramp from. easy to drive the bike up, hard to back it off. would be easier to drive it off. KAGE! PLEASE TELL ME WHY THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY TO LINE UP THE ANTI-SWAY BRACKET WITH THE FLAT SIDE AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE- BUT THE PICTURE SHOWS THE OPPOSITE! ? ! please help me understand if I am mistaken so I can correct this review and make it 5 stars.

ok
over all the product works ok. instructions were terrible on assembly even though it is mostly self explanatory. I never could get the ramp to mount as show and just put it in the back of the truck when I haul it. it seems to work best as far as strapping the motorcycle with a strap on each side of the handle bars and one over the back tire. I took my suzuki dr 200 on a 700 mile round trip with this, no problems but I had to learn the best way to strap it down.

the bike will stand upright by itself allowing me to easily load and strap down by myself
Came just as advertised. I use it to haul a ninja 250 motorcycle with zero complaints. With the front tire dropped in the largest opening, the bike will stand upright by itself allowing me to easily load and strap down by myself. The included stability brace thingy also doubles as a failsafe in case the hitch pin were to fall out, which makes up for the slight annoyance of having to grab a 19mm wrench every time I intall/remove it from my vehicle. Aluminum welds seem to be of good quality and it will look good for years to come. I questioned the mounting points for the straps before I first used it, but they hold the bike solid in all directions. If using with a smaller truck or SUV I would recommend putting refective tape on the rear if the mounted bike blocks your tail lights.

Nice carrier, terrible packaging, missing hardware...
Carrier seems like a nice setup and isn'n't very heavy. The packaging is terrible though! The rungs on my carrier are very scratched from the brackets flying around, and I was missing hardware that was supposed to come with the carrier. This shouldn't be the case for the price. Not overly satisfied

lighter than steel
Although the instructions could be better, I was able to figure out how it all went together. I have a 70cc modified moped Sym, 178#, with 10" wheels. When loaded on the back of my 2012 Kia Sedona, it was easy to get up the ramp. The extra length rod held the front wheel well. The stop/turn signal lights of the van are clearly visible. I hit the bolts and nuts with Rustoleum as I live 2 blocks from the ocean and rust is a huge problem. Did not care for the wing nuts to hold the ramp on, so I just load the ramp in the van. I was using a trailer, but it was hard to find a place to park when I took the moped in for servicing. I expect now to have no parking problems. I'll try to remember to mount a couple of red reflectors on the rail, as additional warning precaution. Soon as I get the straps ordered from Amazon, and I hit 500 miles on the moped, I will put it to use. Figured out now I can take it to the park and not have to worry about parking and use it to do short beer runs!!
