Why are there no reviews on this book? Mardel Rubio just gets better with each coloring book. This book is beautiful and varied there are some beautiful woman, very whimsical animals. The paper is a little thinner than before, is quite smooth but has enough tooth to take colored pencil very well. It a thick paper and only one sided so Markers and waterpaint will work really well. His details are gorgeous. This book is worth every penny. I have two. It was released way past the date given, it definitely was worth the wait. I just love his work. I give it 5 huge glowing stars.

The drawing are spectacular. The weight of the paper has nice tooth for coloring pencils and gel pens. The pictures are are one sided, there is no black page for protection, therefore it would be necessary to use a protected sheet underneath . My own negative would be that some of the pictures are overdone with items that have nothing to do with the main character. For example a beautiful women sitting like a queen is filled with ten rabbits; for me that's way over the hill. It may be conceived as being doing something out of the box, for me it spoils the picture, but I will still continue to color it just because. Another example is a beautiful detailed ape but again he is saturated with seven rabbits. Other pictures are saturated with animals just because the artist loves animals. The page with the mouse had a nice theme so are many others that made perfect sense.

This is a beautiful and original book. Paper is thick and smooth, single sided pics. Includes a beautiful poster to color also. Variety of animal pics and both Male and female illustrations. Few pages seem unnecessarily busy but that's just my opinion. Would definitely recommend this book.

This book is very expensive for a coloring book but is has tons of pages and the quality is top notch. All pages are one sided and can be removed easily. I would definitely recommend this book to any colorist. The pages are just beautiful. I would add a video but book specifically states not allowed to with out permission.

Super... ein relativ hochpreisiges Coloring Book, von dem ich hoffte, dass es in einem neuwertigen Zustand bei mir akommt.Der Karton über der Spiralbindung ist eingedellt (ein harter Griff des Paketboten?), und an den Ecken oben und unten ausgefranst. Der Umschlag ist VIEL zu groß, mäßig gepolstert. Topp wäre was anderes.Ich habe Vergleiche mit anderen Internationalen Bestellungen aus USA, GB, Asien, die Versand und Handling besser auf die Reihe kriegen (da werden Bücher mit Polsterfolie umwickelt - und Ecken geschützt - und der Umschlag passt).Ja... schade.Ich wollte mal eines von diesen seltenen Exemplaren ergattern zu einem bezahlbaren Preis. (Das Erstexemplar wurde hier vom Verlag Phoenix Amulet Publishing schon für 350.- bis 800.- Euro das Stück angeboten.... das geht mir ehrlich gesagt die Luft aus... und hätte ich es nicht schon angemalt, hätte ich es, bei aller Liebe, sogleich wieder verkauft.Ich sag mal so: bei Mardel Rubio greife ich nach allem, was ich kriegen kann.Dass der Stil von Mal zu Mal besser wird, kann ich so nicht sagen. Ich würde sagen: ausgefeilter. Ich finde Alle Malbücher von ihm toll. Vom allerersten ab, und er ist ja auch heiß begehrt. Trotzdem... nur vier Sterne. Ich bewerte damit das Produkt insgesamt, nicht den Künstler.Auf den Innenseiten (die beim Transport intakt geblieben sind) spielen sich die großartigen Dramen des Ausnahmekünstlers James Rubio ab (Phillipinischer Künstler, kombiniert Doodles und Fantasy).Seltsam finde ich: es gibt keine Seite mit Titelbeschreibungen oder Inhaltsangaben (in diesem Fall beziehen sich alle Darstellungen auf die chinesischen Tierkreiszeichen), und keine Darstellung/Porträt des Künstlers (man kennt sich halt... oder? )Und seltsam finde ich auch die Anschnitte oder Ausschnitte (oben und unten fehlt immer ein bißchen was, als ob das Format nicht ganz ausreicht).Gut finde ich das dicke Papier (card stock Qualität, glatt aber griffig), und dass sich die Seiten heraustrennen lassen, wobei nichts von den Zeichnungen verloren geht.Die Zeichnungen geben viel Raum, lassen sich gut colorieren, haben klare Randlinien. Alles Topp.Als Zugabe gibt es ein doppelseitges Poster am Schluss, sonst sind alle Seiten einseitig bedruckt.Durchläufe findet man auf youtube, und reichlich viele Ausmal-Künstler im Netz.Ich bin kein Fan von PDF-Dateien, zumal ich das passende preiswerte Kopierpapier in Deutschland bisher noch nicht gefunden habe. Meine Multimedia- und Aquarellpapiere sind mir ehrlich gesagt zu teuer. Also bemale ich, was bei mir ankommt.Ich würde das nächste Exemplar jederzeit wieder bestellen, und dringend anraten, Shipping und Handling zu verbessern.
