I usually use certain knives for certain purposes, like tomato knife for tomato, or my vegetable knife for vegetables but, this knife is a one stop shop! I have cut many vegetables, fruits and meats with this knife beautifully with little to no effort. Very heavy duty but fits just right in your hand. The handle is strong and has a notch for your fingers. The quality is just beautiful and I love the color! It comes with a protective cover for storage which I absolutely love and it comes in a beautiful high quality gift box with gift tag if you are wanting to give it as a gift, great presentation.Just looking at the blade, you can see the wonderful craftsmanship of this knife! Carefully made and will last a lifetime. Even my husband was so impressed with this knife and he know’s his knives! This knife isn’t intimidating, it’s just right! I definitely feel like a long time chef when I’m in the kitchen using this knife. It gives me confidence and I can get the cutting and chopping done so much faster when using this knife!I highly recommend this knife to anyone who cooks in the kitchen!

After just 6 weeks.. a few weeks past return date my stainless steel knife has started to rust. No dish washer. hand wash only. What the heck! This is very frustrating.

The handle is fairly well finished with no rough spots and a great fit for handling. After cutting lots of meats, I did not even feel hurt because of the handle is so comfortable!

Bought a good period of time, especially with a long time to come over! The first thing that strikes me is that this knife is beautiful and delicate. Secondly, it is comfortable to hold the knife in the hand. The last is the feeling of cutting vegetables very sharp

Not what I would consider sharp. Also there is a lot of weight in the handle, doesn't hold an edge for very long time and it takes more than honing to bring the edge back. Overall it was worth the money as it was cheaper than a hand forged blade.

Excellent quality. Handle is heavier than blade, but no problem for me. EXTREMELY SHARP...first time I have EVER been able to cut a vegetable swede in half on my chopping board ! Before this knife, I would sharpen my 'chef' knife and it felt sharp ! Start to cut swede, get so far through then have to bang swede on hard floor to get knife to cut through ! No joke. Comes with a blade guard in a nice presentation box. So glad I ordered two of these, one is an Xmas present. Think I'll now buy the polished hammered version as well...

A lovely looking knife. It's quite heavy, although I like heavy knives. The two chefs at work thought it a bit too heavy. I'm not a chef, so I cut food far slower, so the weight isn't a problem to me. I'm a kitchen domestic, so I just cut up the odd carrot, onion, fruit and such.Recently I paid £120 for a Global chef knife. Although I was impressed with it, I can honestly say that this knife cuts far easier. Side by side, this knife cut through a large carrot like it was soft butter. The Global cut through one too, but with more pressure needed. If I had to choose between the £120 knife and this knife, i would certainly pick this knife and save myself some money. In fact, I have purchased another knife for a birthday present and am seriously thinking of getting another knife to use at home.

This knife is worthy of having, and it is very sharp. I am very satisfied with this shopping! The kitchen knife works well, the completion degree is relatively high, and the sharpness cuts the A4 paper without any problem. When the knife cuts the paper, I feel it is very sharp. Later, because of this knife, I fell in love with the kitchen, such as cutting potatoes, it was so easy and so fun. In addition, the pattern and wooden handle are very beautiful.

Alors, certes, pour le prix on ne s'attend pas à des miracles, mais faire de la publicité mensongère sur la fabrication et l'origine des matériaux... faudra revoir votre fiche.Comment on le sait ? Voyez la photo, sans forcé, j'ai réussi à faire une entaille dans la partie qui est censé représenter les multitudes couche d'acier superposés.... bref, ce qui veut dire que cette partie est simplement un métal mou ajouté sur la lame (quid de la qualité de l'acier utiliser pour faire la lame, en tout cas la couleur brillante n'inspire pas confiance en sa solidité et durabilité, on verra dans le temps).Pourquoi 2 étoiles ? Au moins, en étant neuf, il coupe bien. Je reviendrai pour l'enlever si besoin.J'en achèterai un de marque reconnu la prochaine fois.D'ailleurs, suite au made in china sur la boite, quelques recherches :VG10 n'est plus exporté par le Japon depuis plusieurs annéesLa marque se vente d'exister depuis 21 ans, aucune info en ce sens, je pense c'est plutôt 21 jours...
