Fantastic Tool

Definitely needed it.
I've been working on cars since I was old enough to walk and I finally had to have this tool. Usually I can pop the locking ring out and in with a screwdriver but I found one that was not moving. Even with this tool I had to use a cheater bar. The tool held up great! When the ring broke loose, I thought I had ripped off the top of the fuel tank. Then upon reinstalling it, I thought I broke the tabs off. Nope, this thing worked perfectly! No damage to the locking ring or to the tool.

Time saver
Get the right tool for the job and be safe. Due to the location of my fuel pump I couldn't get to it so easy with a hammer and screw driver. Also it didn't seem like causing a spark while working on the fuel pump was a good idea. This tool with a two foot breaker bar and it was off with one quick pull. The installation was just as fast. In all start to finish, it took my about 30 minutes. It is a well made tool and not a cheap one hit wonder. Even if this is the only time I use this tool the price versus the time I saved was more than worth it.

item would be great for GM, some ford products.TOOL WILL NOT WORK FOR NISSAN ARMADA OR TITAN (too small).I reordered a three piece adjustable one that was not as nice but was large enough.

Pump Lock ring removal and install
As a DIY mech in my own Garage I hate buying a tool that I will use once in the life of a vehicle and then just takes up room in my toolbox. But after using a brass punch and hammer for an hour, I found this and and ordered it. Its a good quality tool that the steel has some weight too it and I had the pump ring installed properly in 2 mins after using it on my Silverado (90 seconds was looking for my rachet). Just buy it if your changing a pump.
