Hanks Glacier – “No Break” Thick Leather Belt – Mens Heavy Duty Belts – USA Made

As you can see from its picture this belt looks and feels "spongy." The edges are unfinished and look as though somebody just cut a strip with a pair of scissors from something that resembles leather. The color of this belt is neither brown nor grey. It is nothing like the color depicted in the advertisements. This is the only belt I have ever owned that "sags" at the buckle. That is, even though the belt's surface should be perpendicular to the ground when you stand, this belt tilts at 45 degrees, exposing the button on your pants so you look like a slob, regardless of how tight you make it. This is the junkiest belt I have ever owned. After wearing it one time it lost its shape. I took it out in my back yard and beat my oak tree with it for about an hour. After that I stood on the buckle end and pulled on it as hard as I could. It stretched about 3 inches. Whenever I wore this belt I felt as though I had a tumor bulging out from the lower end of my stomach. After giving it one more good tree beating I threw it in the trash where it belongs. The buckles I bought with the belt are OK but they are the identical generic belt buckles I got with some cheap Army Surplus Store belts. This is a crappy product from a crappy company.

Amazing quality belt and even better customer service. Somehow I order a size too big. I emailed Hanks and they sent me out a new size right away with a prepaid envelope to return the wrong sized belt. Then the second belt was also too big and they are now sending me a third belt with another prepaid shipping envelope. Its hard to find customer service like Hanks now a days. Plus the product is very well made. Wouldn't definitely recommend Hanks to anyone that needs a quality belt.

Great quality of leather on the belt and nice finish. I docked one star due to two somewhat minor things:1) The buckle is made up of two pieces with the outer piece being quite loose. That's fine except that it makes an almost embarrassing amount of noise when you unbuckle your pants.2) The size ordering information is WAY off. The size advice, which I think is just generic Amazon sizing advice, is to order belt size that's 2 inches larger than your pants size. I wear 32 pants and ordered two different brands of 34 belts on the same day. The other brand fit great, but I couldn't even come close to buckling the Hank's belt. I returned it and ordered a 38 and it's just right, with it comfortably buckled 2 holes from the end.

Great belt, I'll be getting more belts from Hanks. The sizing is "true", which means it might not match up with your oversized Levi's waist measurements. If you have a measuring tape, you can measure your waist to get the correct size. These belts will last forever I assume. I wanted a more worn look, but mine is a bit cleaner than the pic. I bent a few sections of it to lighten the color.

to read their hype you'd think it was the best belt ever, something truly special. Run of the mill, at best.

This belt is exactly what I wanted. Very high quality leather and well made, I expect this to last for many years to come. The color is exactly what the pictures portray. I wear size 33-34 pants and ordered 36 belt, which fits perfectly. However, a 38 would have worked to allow some wiggle room.

Seems funny to get excited about something like a belt but dammit I'm 300lbs and I blow buckles on my britches so often I thought I was relegated to having to lose weight. Nope! I can stay tre hundo AND look stylish without resorting to stretchy fat guy belts or dangerous caloric deficits. Thanks Hanks!

This belt is very heavy duty with a great finish! The beveled edge is a nice touch too. Having the 100 year warranty shows confidence in their product, although, I don’t imagine this thing will get anything but better with time. Love the fact it has screws instead of rivets holding the buckle on... nice to see a product that isn’t built to be thrown away. You can tell Hank I’ll be back for a brown one soon!
