When the car carbon monoxide detector is inserted into the car cigarette lighter, the carbon monoxide sensor module starts warming up 30 seconds, then get to work, and the yellow light flashes. When it detected carbon monoxide value is greater than 100PPM, the buzzer beeps in 0.5 second intervals, and the red light flashes.

I bought this because I own a Ford Edge and ford has problems with exhaust coming into the cabin with serious acceleration, with this model. When I floor the car the detector says on zero. You can smell the exhaust in the car, sometimes it's so bad I have to open a window, the detector is on zero. What a waste of money. When you buy a carbon monoxide detector you already think you have a problem or you wouldn't be buying this. The fact that this never moves off of zero is actually dangerous if your counting on this to work properly. I should have sent it back.

The CO monitor doesn’t work well
The item was delivered quickly. The charger / CO monitor was nice enough I told a friend about it. He also purchased one. The day he got it he tested his, right at the tail pipe exhaust. His didn’t work well, The monitor responded very slowly and never buzzed. I then tested mine. Same result. Don’t trust your life with this monitor,

It did not detect CO during a demonstration test
I wanted to confirm that this product would detect unsafe levels of CO. I provided 12VDC portable power and held the unit up to my automobile exhaust pipe with the engine running. After 10 minutes with the unit held in the engine exhaust stream the display continued to read "0 PPM".

Very happy to have it
Very happy to have it I have been using it for a few weeks. Fortunately, I have not encountered the problem that other people have said. When I smoke in the car, the led display will change, but it will take a few seconds to react. In addition, the charging speed is really fast.
