Awesome product
First night my camera took over 700 pictures with more than 100 rats in each picture. 6 days later my camera too 142 pictures with less than 5 rats in each picture. I do have to add squeeze peanut butter to get the rats to eat it readily. But I'm down over 90% in 6 days. I have chicken coops with hundreds if not thousands of rats. I was too afraid to use poison because of my pets. This is safe for pets. Plus I've only seen one dead rat, so they are dying in the underground boroughs as the directions said they would.Highly recommend!

Works, takes patience
I have a farm with livestock so it's like a rat buffet. I have barn cats so I'm not willing to use poison, although it would be a quicker route to elimination. It really does work but it does take time. I've figured out that by adding just a little of something sweet like hot chocolate powder or a thin coating of jam/jelly, they eat it up. I put decent sized piles out which get mostly eaten up and I see fewer and fewer rats in all the barns. I should take stock in this stuff. So far very happy since it's working and it's safe for the critters.

NOT true that the dead critters won't smell.
The idea of a pellet that wouldn't harm pets was appealing. Even more appealing was the idea of the rats desiccating and leaving no smell. That's just totally not true. Maybe it was less? But in a closed up old farmhouse, you could definitely still smell decaying critters. In the barns, I've found the pellets to be a tough sell. There really has to be NOTHING else for them to eat before they'll eat the pellets. And in a barn, that's tricky. I'm not even positive that it was this product that killed the few dead rats in the barn and mice in the house. But the smell began 4 days after I started to use it indoors. UPDATE: This is apparently not what killed the rats. In fact, I have rats still and yet this is all over the place. The rats won't touch it.

Effective!
Great product. Only issue is there needs to be no other food source around. With a lot of fsrm animals that is difficult. Rodent population is decreasing. Have not lost any other type of animal.

Rats and mice won't eat it
The manufacturer really needs to make this more attractive to mice and rats. I have a rat investation in my house and I tried using this since we have dogs and it is only harmful to mice and rats....but only if they eat it. While these pests have been chewing their way through everything looking for food they completely ignored the open bag of RatX sitting there easily accessible. In theory the main ingredient is effective against mice and rats, but they will only eat this product if it's disguised with peanut butter or other things they like. I finally bought actual rat poison that will kill anything and the rats gobbled it up so we finally seem to be making some headway in getting this nightmare under control. By the way, I would point out that you bleeding hearts who want to live trap these pests and turn them loose somewhere else are simply making them someone else's problem. I have an idea that's how we got rats when we have never had them before. We live out in the country where folks like to dump their unwanted animals.

It works!
Easy to use. Rats liked it. Rats disappeared. I liked that.

Pet safe was perfect with my family of doggies
I first was introduced to Rat x at my local garden shop. Pet safe was perfect with my family of doggies. After using 3 one pounders I went for the 25 grand daddy bag. Best way I use them is newspaper squares with a grab of pellets, then wrap it like a burrito. The results have varied from a farm of them running like a race track to now... a set of 3 at the most. I also use the cheapo glue traps (Wal-Mart cheapo for like 3+ bucks) which catches the runners.i have seen a.few.drop like ...plop...dead o to the floor from the holes they have made in ceiling. Amazing to see. Even the glue trapped ones...not very lively.I suspect that even though I felt like I was the rat cafeteria feeder..patience will bring results, along with 25# bag. It has not been a speedy battle but I have seen significant results. Surprised to see Home depot with a whole mess of.this.so I know I am not alone. Good luck to all and humans will win!!
