We did a second coat after the first was spotty. After the second it looked good -- Improvement was likely because of the extra material, and that we rubbed it in during application (our bad not following instructions for the first coat). Assuming you find the instructions unclear too, note that we found success applying with a paint brush, and rubbing in with an old cotton hand towel. On our flagstone porch, we found the product did what it advertises -- a nice matte seal, and enhanced color. A little pricey at ~$60/qt, but we'd recommend the product.

Quick dry

First application was way too sticky and ground in dirt into the grout. After scrubbing and steam cleaning the excess sticky residue I was able to reapply. Instead of using a paint roller/brush I used the enhancer with a shammy cloth and wiped away excess. The dry time was shorter but the sticky residue was gone and left the floor much cleaner. This is a high traffic area and unfortunately the first attempt just didn’t work for our home. I gave the product a 3 star due to the time it took to do the over all process more then once.

Product easy to use on slate. It worked very well. It enhanced noticeably.

Bring the old product back.
