The Mini Farming Bible: The Complete Guide to Self-Sufficiency on ¼ Acre

Purchased this book for my husband who was raised on a farm. We are changing our gardening practices so I thought we needed a good reference to help us redesign our garden system. We have installed 4 raised garden beds this year and plan to add a few more each year. Our family of 5 tries to raise as much food as possible to help feed us during the year. We have started a fruit arbor and orchard. Once I explained to my husband that I am very confident in his gardening and just wanted to help us garden on a smaller scale, he started reading the book and is enjoying the information. We sit down as a family and talk about different subjects raised in this book and decide if it will work for us.

Book is well organized & has a ton of useable information in it. We’ll done.

I purchased 15 copies of this book for a educational program. Almost all of them have editorial errors. For example, in the wine making section there are pictures of broccoli with captions under the pictures saying something like 'This is a typical carboy setup'. The pictures and captions do not match.Other than this the book is great with lots of good information.

An information packed guide for those of us that are taking our backyard gardens more seriously.

I already have and have read this book, PDF version, but I really wanted the hard copy as well.This book is packed with great, practical information on a lot of subjects, not just gardening. An excellent reference and how too.Also, I saw the reviews mentioning the misplaced pictures. These have been fixed!

Lots of projects that are on our list. Easy to follow instructions.

I just got the book, but the 1st thing I noticed is that IT IS NOT ALMOST 600 PAGES! THIS IS A LIE.It may be a good book otherwise. I may update this review if the quality is good, but the quantity is NOT as advertised.This book has 525 pages of content, including the index, and even the last page is just a little text at the top. Yes I buy for quality and the reviews look pretty good, but why lie about the number of pages???

Great Book! Quality imagery and explanations to help someone who is looking to wring every ounce of productivity out of their available space. This excellent resource can be applied to any size lot. Not a lot of help for those with access to large farming equipment, but for the rest of us who are picking and planting by hand this is gold.

So deliciously full of gardening knowledge, I’m having a hard time putting it down! I have read so many books on this subject, but this one is my number 1!!! So glad I bought myself this keeper!!!

Great book, well worth the money.

I would recommend this book for an absolute beginner but not for anyone with experience. I grew up gardening and read many books on the subject. For myself I wouldn't purchase it again.
