Great all-rounder to improve your knowledge of the world
Enjoying thematic layout which makes it easier to follow the very detailed explanations.Front cover is rather boring compared with a previous version that I’m replacing with this latest. But excellent as a general layman’s guide.

A beautiful book.
What a wonderful and beautiful thing this book is. I count myself lucky to have picked this latest edition up in a black friday deal for less than half price.I've always wanted a Times edition of the World atlas and i finally have it.For anyone who is considering this book, because lets face it, it's a huge outlay of cash even at the price i paid, it truly is a wonderful thing to behold when you open it - the large scale maps are beautifully printed, sharp and fabulously detailed - i wish my grandma was still alive to see it - i always think of her with an atlas open on her lap and i know she would have loved this book. This is a treasure i will leave to my own children, who hopefully will enjoy it as much as i do.

A huge sized Atlas
This is an excellent reference work but.....had I known how big this was I would never have bought it. It weighs in at over 5 kg and both height and width it's huge. Not something you'll fit in your average bookshelf. Saying that it's more than fit for purpose. If you are older or have a small bookshelf this won't be for you.

Excellent new 15th edition
I took delivery of the new Times Comprehensive World Atlas yesterday. It is beautifully produced and there is even more clarity than previous editions with, e.g., the colouring of the maps. A wonderful new addition to the collection!

Best I’ve ever bought
I was hanging my nose over this for a while and considering the smaller version and some other cheaper types. Glad I didn’t this is superb, I’ve had it a few months and the pain of paying a lot of cash for this has subsided but the beautiful book remains and will do so for years to come.I love it.One thing one of the reviews I read said that the centre of the pages are bound too tight and you can’t see the middle parts well. I didn’t find that at all it was superb.

Not as good as the previous editions due to the poor introduction and less pages.
The maps are impressive. The introduction, is as simple as possible, photos hardly exist or very limited, even less graphics as well as diagrams a lot of white space. With graphical weather charts of several cities, but without even a climatic map showing the locations of these cities on a world map becomes strange, where are these locations, and different climates (Koppen) not a map of world climates. No satellite photos like before, from all the continents they are missing. 544 pages in the previous issues since 2000, 528 pages in this one. Good to excellent section of maps, as usual.Unfortunately they had to cut somewhere to keep costs down. No, it's not modern white design, as some say, it's a way of not raising the costs, for consumer and publisher some usually detailed maps are now a page when it used to be two, population charts. (Sorry, for my English).. Of course I would recommend for the price and the the main part: world maps, excellent.Except the almost white and black lets save ink introduction, far below what you would expect. Even less expensive editions are far and a lot better in this department. You cant't have it all/win them all.I would recommend the 14th edition or even 13th (with the Greenland map mystake), without any hesitation. Maybe that is the reason they are bit more expensive.

A ‘must have’ for a map person
My husband is a map man ... he reads them like I read a book, so an Atlas of the world is a necessity in our house. This volume replaced a much loved and thumbed model from twenty years ago, which somehow got mislaid during a house move. Yes ... I know it beggars belief that a tome this size might be mislaid ... but mislaid it was!It doesn’t disappoint ... it’s a beautiful reference book which I would highly recommend to anyone who is a map lover. Don’t hesitate.
