Allony 200ml Transparent Book Binding Glue, Professional Craft Glue for Book Repair, Scrapbooking, Crafting, Paper Art

Used it on an antique book that had seen better days, the binding glue worked perfectly and gave the book it's strength back, I have no experience of repairing books but thought I would give it a go. Great result.

It is great for papercraftung it doesn't cause paper to ripple, drys clear and you don't have to use much highly recommend for any crafter

does a great job as good as Elmer's and cheaper too

It may stick well but as its water based it crinkles the paper your sticking.

I admit to jumping too fast on this glue because the product description isn't giving anything away about what type of glue it is. As I have some older books to deal with I don't want to use a glue when I don't know everything about how it behaves. I fully expected this to come with instructions & a leaflet detailing what kind of glue it is - but it doesn't. Because of the mention of colloid I'm guessing this is PVA because it also mentions it's waterproof & fast drying. That makes this rather an expensive way to buy PVA by calling it book binding glue. It does work for certain applications but it's not right for all & not telling you is a bit of a cheat. For crafting & hobbies where it's not crucial this is probably going to be fine, but it's just an all purpose glue you can buy elsewhere for much less. I'll be reserving this one for just such applications & look for something without secrets for my book binding. Expensive, buy elsewhere
