Illustrated Dictionary of Dream Symbols: A Biblical Guide to Your Dreams and Visions

I haven't read it yet but looking at this book I can tell that it's packed with a lot of knowledge. You have to read to understand dreams and then the back of the book has dream symbol dictionary. I like that he explains dreams first before just giving you the symbols and their meaning. getting understanding matters. It's rampages with scriptures as well. I am so excited to read this and worth the purchase to get biblical dream interpretation. Pastor Kevin Ewing suggested this book.

So much good valuable information on understanding dreams from a Christian perspective. This book is more of a reference hel me understand my dreams. I'm definitely a dreamer and this was a great help to understanding God's language to me.

I am a christian and dream alot and remember alot of my dreams without me writing them down. When i got this book I went straight to the dream definitions. I tested myself to see if i could interprete the meaning of the symbols and i was so shocked to get all the symbols correct. Now my confidence in interpreting dreams is so confident. God led me to get this book to give me the confidence I needed. The answer to dreams are within every person. I had a dream a few days ago about a friend that I have not been talking to about a month. in the dream he was sitting on his bed looking out in his room focused on me. I had a kettle of hot water that started boiling. I was busy changing the babies diaper and started getting frustratd with the kettle whistle. MY friend got up from his bed and went to take the kettle off for me. When I got up I understood the dream so I looked up water to make sure I was right. And I was right. Boiling water is your emotions. I was angry with my friend and he was giving me space to calm down. A day after having this dream he called me to apologize to me. He calmed the boiling emotions. God is real and he talks to his children in different ways. The Holy spirit within us brings everything to light. This books discusses all of this. This books does not want you to be dependent on it but shows you how to get the answers to your dreams yourself. Two people can have similar dream but can have different meaning to the dreamer. The answer is within you. Let this book guide you because it is not going to give you every dream symbol but just a few. Their are millions trillion of symnols God can use to talk to us.

This book is defiantly for someone who is religious and is looking for a deeper meaning to dreams. I found the material to be very helpful in many ways however interpreting a dream is still very difficult. The first half of the book is a basic understanding of what dreams are and how they are incorporated to God's message. The author describes different types of dreams and visions and compares them to scriptures in the bible. There are three chapters that are mainly focused on numbers and one chapter for color and direction (north, east, south, west, front, backward, etc.). The second half of the book is a glossary of terms that consist of the following; animals, buildings (rooms, places), directions (front, back), metals, numbers, people (relatives, trades), vehicles-parts and miscellaneous. The glossary is not well defined like a normal dream book and is paralleled to a scripture. For example a typical dream that everyone has had is in regards to falling. The definition of falling is as follows: unsupported; loss of support (financial, moral, public) trial; succumb; backsliding. The definitions are very vague which will make the reader have to think outside of the box and dissect each dream into many different pieces.I will recommend this book to those who are spiritual and believe in God and wish to embrace the power of dreams. I do not believe that after reading this book anyone will be able to interpret an entire dream but you will be able identify a few small key details. As the author states many times in the book God will communicate with us through dreams, they are never straight forward and consist of many riddles and symbols.

I decided to purchase this book after reading the reviews. My goal was to be able to interpret my dreams from a biblical perspective. This book was dead on. The beginning was a bit of a slow read but the author did a good job of breaking down the types of dreams, visions, etc we experience. The best part of the book was the last few chapters that included the dictionary. It really helped me to recognize symbolism in my dreams and the definitions were accurate in accordance to how I interpreted my dreams.A couple of things I wish the author had provided include the following: 1.) Included more biblical examples of dreams/visions and exhibited how to interpret each aspect of the dreams, visions, etc. and 2.) Discussed overarching themes, situations, etc in dreams and their meaning. The book did a good job of pointing out symbolism surrounding objects (e.g. if there is a foot, clock, roller coaster, etc in your dream and the meanings behind these objects). But, suppose I had a dream about my childhood best friend and he/she abandoned me in the dream. The book does not necessarily tell you how to interpret these types of dreams and their meaning.Overall a great book to purchase to help you become disciplined in remembering and interpreting your dreams, visions. etc.

This is the book every dreamer should have it. Its explanation is very clear and gives alot of biblical examples to support it. I gain a lot of understanding by reading this book. It's like almost a complete dream reference/ dictionary for me to have as the contents in the book speaks to me personally.I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to have a complete whole understanding about dreams and visions.

this is an easy to read profound book. Its thoroughly grounded in christian principles and quotes the passages mentioned in full which is great. I can't think how to rate it highly enough except to say that If you buy it I don't think you will be disappointed. it reflects the profound, humble and godly character of the the author.
