Zoo Med Vita-Sand in Gobi Gold

The color is fine and great for my tortoise so she doesn't have to worry about eating the sand.

Bought this for a baby Sonoran Tortoise that ended up somehow in my tightly panel fenced back yard, some time after our recent monsoon rains. We tried finding a home for it but no takers, seems par for the course for our tri-state desert.Bought this vita-sand due to the young age of the tortoise, but didn't realize how powdery-dusty it would be.It is very fine grain, like a fine cornmeal, and after the tortoise eats or drinks, and then walks through the sand, it sticks like cornmeal to it's face and feet.I have some flat rocks in the reptile aquarium that a neighbor gave me after finding out I discovered it, and you can tell, by the trail of sand left behind, that the tortoise had been there.Since I'm new to this (mainly to help this young one survive it's first year before release, I have no clue yet of whether this sand is best, or, to go to a grass pellet to replace the sand, which seems at the moment logically to help keep the little guy from ingesting too much.The yellow cornmeal color does make it easier to see where it may have deficated and clean that area.

Really good product I think too good my bearded dragon gives it lick here n there when ever he feels he has the need of vitamin but my issue is that it doesn't help with humidity it actually increases a bit so had to get rid of it all together, which was the main reason for getting it but definitely looks super cool n soft.

This is very good quality sand, I have used it for years. The only issue I had with this was that one of the bags had a whole in it when it was delivered. It left sand all over my carpet when I brought it in.

The sand is good the problem is that it will smell bad in your room because of it.

Not too good to be true. Great deal for the amount of sand. I prefer white or purple but for the price, I don't mind the color. I use a black light and throw little white flowers around in the sand. It looks nice.

Product is very nice and well priced. Unfortunately it stinks, like really stinks..
