Q: why is this 47 dollars?

Because they are rare and hard to find. Have you seen them anywhere locally? Unlikely since they were manufactured a while ago and Tamagotchi discontinued the color scheme. You will find the same is true of many others. If you want one that is less expensive, you should buy from the current color models.

Q: is there a way to pause this one? I do not want my nephew playing this in class
