It works for the pinch we were in
We bought a female jumping spider from a breeder. It was for sale not for breeding. Turns out it was pregnant. Now we have 100 babies and are trying to care for them the best we can. This item was very helpful with containing the babies so we can separate them and feed them. They are cute.Good valueEasy to useWorks exactly like it shouldKeeps baby spiders safeZipper closes tight

Butterfly Sanctuary
We absolutely are so glad we purchased the insect cage. We have a Monarch Butterfly Garden, so we get many caterpillars seasonally. At times, when the weather is sketchy, and we feel the caterpillars may not survive the weather, we will get a potted butterfly milkweed and slide it by the caterpillar. Once it moves onto the potted plant, we take it inside and into the cage it goes.We have saved many caterpillars and have watched as they transition to their beautiful butterfly stage, and we release them outside. It was a wise purchase, and we even bought another one, as needed.

Keeps my monarchs safe.
After my milkweed plants attract butterflys to lay their eggs, when the caterpillars get to about half of their adult size, I bring them into the cage & into my screened porch, to continue eating and growing to full size, where they form the chrysalis's. I enjoy taking part in this beauty of nature, from birth to release of the lovely butterflys. The cage is adequate and I recommend getting the one with the plastic see-through panel on one side (like this one) - it's so much better to see more detail inside the cage. And I made a "floor" out of cardboard (from a large box), and covered it in plastic to keep it dry. I layer some paper towels on top of my floor, which makes it simple to clean when the caterpillars poop. Also, the floor adds to sturdiness when I carry the cage outside with the 2 loop handles on top, to give more sunlight to the milkweed plants as the caterpillars are devouring them.

Perfect for our butterflies
We got this along with pink lady butterfly catapillars and it worked beautifully! Large enclosure, easy to see through, and the zipper was perfect.

Works great for leafbugs.
Love these cages, they work great for my leafbugs. I now have five of them. The zippers can be a little odd when they first arrive but after unzipping g and rezipping them they are all good, the double zippers can be a life saver when little babies are on the zipper.

Perfect!
This enclosure will be absolutely perfect to keep a milkweed plant in to raise caterpillars. It is the perfect size--not too large but just spacious enough. It has a lovely double zipper that allows you to open one side to take a plant in or out. The mesh is small enough that the caterpillars can safely climb on it without risk of injury, and it is relatively easy to see though for observations. I am completely satisfied with this, and we are considering purchasing a second. In the spirit of complete honesty, our enclosure is currently being used for a grasshopper habitat. We live in southern California and have been under stay at home orders for Covid-19 for three months now. We have one young daughter who has been lonely, so we adopted the baby grasshopper that we found in our yard. The grasshopper seems delighted with his upgraded habitat and is thriving. Our daughter loves that she can decorate his home, change its orientation, and see her grasshopper crawling up and jumping off the sides. This has already been worth every penny.
