Traditions Performance Firearms Muzzleloader Thunder Nipple - #11 Percussion

I'm building a muzzle loading rifle from scratch and needed a nipple. I at first designed my plug for Traditions nipple firing the 209 primer but the 209 is way too strong for my action. So I opted to get the same Traditions nipple but only for the #11 percussion cap to save me from redesigning the breech plug. This fits exactly as the 209 nipple but my misgivings are the nipple end is not tapered to hold the percussion cap. I have to squeeze the cap to stay on the nipple. Another concern is the fire hole is pretty large. I'm afraid there would by quite a bit of blow back.

This product is terrible!! Don’t waste your money on it. I had it in my Traditions tracker 209 for 2 shots and then the cone broke. A waste of money would highly not recommend buying.

The steel is really soft and the vent of the nipple flared open after the first fire.

Is not for #11 percussion caps it’s for winged musket caps. Completely incorrect listing and waste of money.
