I just reviewed another purchase, the Mesaki charging stand comparing it to this one.If you are using an Android phone, head over to PlayStore and download AccuBatteryPro. Pay version and free version. It gives you a ton of information about your phone battery.I found this charging stand to have a higher output than the Mesaki. The AccuBatteryPro software will show you the charging rate from the charger to your phone battery in milliamps. The higher the number, faster charge. % of charge per hour, battery temperature, overall battery storage in milliamps.I have found to get the fastest charge, put your phone in airplane mode, stop all running background processes. This should stop almost all drain on the battery while charging.Another thing I like about AccuBatteryPro, it will tell you the actual storage capacity of your battery. You have to know what the manufacturer claims it to be, AccuBatteryPro tells you exactly what it is, therefore you will know how bad the phone manufacturer screwed you over. My example, manufacturer claims 3300 milliamps battery, in reality its 2585. This is why your battery isn't lasting all day as advertised, just to make the sale.The battery temperature runs hotter on this stand compared to the other one, because it puts more steady charge to the battery.I have done my tests with 2 different phones, swapping phones on the chargers and taking screenshots of the results. Both phones have identical cases, so both work well thru cases. I have done same tests above with cases off, no difference in charging rates.I would buy either one again, both good charging stands. I like the idea of cooling fans, just makes sense...

Just received this wireless charger today. I really started to love it! I leave this charger on my kitchen counter. Everyday when I got home from work, my phone battery was usually more than halfway gone. The first thing I did was always to put my phone on this charger, then started preparing for dinner. It just can't be easier. All you need is to drop your phone in there. I believe most people have concerns about the charging speed. I had that concern too until I tried it. This actually charges my galaxy S8 at a very decent speed. It is at least equivalent or faster than a conventional 1A wall adapter charger. By the time I am done with dinner, my phone will be almost charged up and good for the rest of the night. I actually bought 2 of these. I put the other one on the night stand in my bedroom. So I just drop my phone in there before I go to sleep.I have to say that this nice looking charger has improved the quality of my life, not only because it has made my home more modern and organized, but it also makes myself a more organized person. Before I had this charger, I got mad from time to time for not being able to find my phone at home. It just makes me feel frustrated and feel like getting old. I know, this is my personal problem. I just keep asking myself, why can't I just remember where I have left my phone. But I believe I am not the only one having this problem:) This is problem is solved now. I always try to put my phone on the charger when I am not using it. It is unbelievable that this 30 dollar investment has made my life less stressful. I am considering buying another one to put in my office at work.

I usually hate saying, ”You get what you pay for.” but that is exactly it with this. It does not charge fast like the description says but it does have an internal fan to keep it from overheating and I can barely hear it so that does not mess up my sleep. It does stop charging for no apparent reason even when the green light says it's charging. Since I cannot sleep without my music in my ear it dying in the middle of the night is a huge problem for me. My phone has hit zero percent several times and since this started just a day or two after receiving this I have to send this back. I think I will have to spend a little bit more money to insure that my phone will not die at night. This is a decent wireless charger when it works and you can't beat the price so maybe mine is just a glitch. I am not sure so I definitely can't recommend this. I hope this review helps you with your decision to purchase or not.

This unit works well, and charges my iPhone XR (with thin/medium case installed) quickly. It doesn't charge as quickly as the direct Lightning cable, but that's expected. The first couple of hours of use it gave off a slight "hot electronics" smell, but it was mild and went away, and the unit did not get hot (it's barely warm when charging). The fan only runs while the phone is charging, and is pretty quiet (you can hear it if you're close and listening for it, but otherwise it's not noticeable).

UPDATE 3/24/19 - BEWARE. They changed the internal spec on these recently. This does NOT Fast charge anymore, despite what it says. The older version had a white light for standard and blue light for fast charge, and the phone indicated fast charge when it was on.This newer version only has a green light and fast charge doesn't work. Swapping just the charger, I can fast charge on the older one, but newer one does not.The old booklet mentioned fast charging, new one doesn't.This has been a great charger so far. I had a cheaper one from another brand without a fan and it not only made my phone hot while charging, it eventually just stopped working after a couple of months.This has a fan but it is silent, as in you have to put your ear up to it to hear it at all. My phone charges just as quick as any other corded charger I have plus it stays cool.I have confirmed this WILL do fast charging on an S9+, however be mindful of a few things. First, it includes a charging cord which IS fast charge capable, but it doesn't include a power plug. You MUST have a fast charge capable power plug in order for fast charging to work. Testing it with my OEM charger it does do fast charging in half the time of regular charging. At least for my phone, it shows a white dim light at the bottom for regular charging and it turns to blue for fast charging.
