beautifully made and very poseable
The Kruselings dolls are a great surprise. They are well made of heavy vinyl, the joints move smoothly, are well balanced so they stand easily, and have nicely painted features with pretty and lifelike set in glass eyes. The joints on the dolls are firm so that the dolls can pose in many different positions. The hands and feet are nicely formed and look natural. The clothing is well made and fits perfectly. The hair is thickly rooted and soft, but is a little greasy feeling, which is my only con. Her hair feels better after shampooing. The Kruselings are very well done and well worth the money. Looking forward to getting them all.

I was very pleased with the quality
Lovely doll. I was very pleased with the quality. Even the clothes are sewn well and a good quality. She comes with tights, and with fabric underwear on underneath the tights, which is unusual for a play doll line. It looks like all the Kruselings come with undies. The body is super articulated and poseable, which is a huge plus. They can sit nicely and stand by themselves unsupported.

A very well made doll
She's a cute, well made doll. The clothes are very well made. Her hair is soft, her joints are flexible and easy to move. A great doll for the money!

Grreat dolls.
I really like these Kruselings dolls. They have a wonderful child face and nice rooted hair. The articulation is fantastic and they can share a lot of clothes made for 1/6 fashion dolls. The price is reasonable for what you are getting.

Sweet little doll
She is very cute but her shoes are the sticking point for me. I can't seem to find anything to fit other than those awful rubber boots she came with. Her tights/leggings and panties are well made. The dress has a velcro closure which I don't like because it gets caught on everything including her hair. The vest is okay. She does seep fit into Ruby Red Ten Ping apparel but not shoes. I would buy more if not for the shoe problem.

Hmmm
I had high expectations for these dolls. They're much more age appropriate for a 3-5 year old than a fashion doll is. The body is very posable with lots of movable joints but they also twist in ways that are not possible for a human and then are a little tricky to get all back in alignment. The hair is poor quality on the girls and snarls easily (We've had 4 of them for 4 months now and they've been played with a bit...not daily but weekly.). The clothes. tho! They're so detailed and well made! Super cute outfits with quality materials. So, for the price I think they could have done a better job with the dolls themselves but the clothes are fantastic.

Gorgeous doll for both children and collectors.
I bought Vera to complete a collection of the Kruselings Dolls, and I think she may be my favourite. I'm not normally one for the typical blonde doll, but Vera is gorgeous! The dolls are just nine inches tall, and have 13 points of articulation- ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and neck. The articulation is pretty good for a child appropriate doll; she moves well and is a pleasure to pose. She holds positions well, like all my Kruselings dolls. The articulation gives them a very realistic feel which I think would make it very easy for a child to relate to her doll. Despite the articulation, the doll still has a nice solid feel, a good size and weight to hold in a child's hand. The doll can only sit in doll chairs that allow her legs to be somewhat apart due to the shape of the join, but she sits well on most of my barbie chairs without a lot of effort. The face is gorgeous, with a lovely face that reminds me of a classic china/porcelain doll, but still quite vibrant. She has inset glass eyes that help with that lovely 'alive' look that makes it easy to see a character and not a blank slate. A child would have no problems seeing one of these dolls as a little friend, while still allowing plenty of room for a child to be imaginative and fill in the personality of their doll. The back story of the doll adds even more room for creative play for a child. The materials of the doll are nice, and feel of good quality. The eyes are clear and bright and set well, the plastics are smooth and well coloured, the hair is beautifully soft and easy to brush. My Luna has hair that feels a little oily, as if it has received too much styling product before boxing, but Vera's is lovely to touch and play with. The hair returns to position with a little styling with the included brush, and feels very easy care- it does not knot easily which is great news for parents. The entire doll has a good weight to it that feels like there has been no skimping on the manufacturing. The articulation joins are solid, and don't feel fragile at all- it does not feel like a foot would snap off if the ankle was moved with a child's grip. I think it would take some pretty rough treatment for a child to manage to break this doll. The clothes are surprisingly really beautiful- no terrible thin synthetic fabrics. Everything feels lovely to touch, and the clothes are fashionable whilst remaining appropriate for a child, and are pretty easy to remove and replace- a small child might have some difficulty, but an older child will find it simple. I also love any doll that comes with actual cloth undies instead of moulded underwear!! The shoes are easy to put on and take off. The doll stands easily on her own both with and without shoes and can even stand easily on one leg. The shoes do add to her stability, though, and are a fairly soft rubber with slits in the back that make them very easy to take off and put back on.One thing I have to mention that I really find unusual for a doll, and that I absolutely love, is the detail in the hands. The hands are highly detailed, with the normal lines that one would find on their palms and in the folds of their fingers. It makes for a really realistic doll, and my daughter was absolutely entranced with them, as was my youngest son. They like to fit their little fingertips to those tiny detailed doll hands, and I think it helps to make these dolls little 'people'.The feet are less detailed, especially on the bottom as they need to be somewhat flat for stability, but still have a nice shape that is unusual for a doll of this price range marketed for children. Her body has a nice 'child' body, without being shapeless, and the joins do not alienate the overall look of the doll, as some bjd's joins do. Her limbs have the nicely rounded look that a child's would, rather than being shapeless or overly thin. The packaging is very beautiful, magical and enchanting, and not overly done- there isn't a lot of unnecessary ties and cables, and the dolls are easy to remove to play with immediately. The packaging is plastic and card, but recyclable. The package is a basic closed box shape and so is very easy to wrap when gifting.Overall, I'm really impressed with the quality of the doll- the articulation, the classic features, the materials used, the care taken to make quality clothing, the detailing of the doll- all of it comes down to an exceptional doll for the price, and a real quality investment for both doll collectors and for parents. The doll is fantastic for children- easy to hold and play with, with a great message and far more appropriate for children than a lot of the dolls available these days. It's a relatable doll, looking like a child in clothes a child would want to wear, with a face that is easy to look at and see a tiny friend. As a parent I would highly recommend these dolls for their children. With the small brush and shoes taken away, I think they'd be very appropriate for very young children. My neighbour's small three year old son was entranced, and very content to sit and hold a doll and speak softly to her. Equally, I don't see any reason why an older child would not have a lot of fun with them. The back story is interesting and lovely, hopeful, and really open to different kids- whether they like fairies and magic, or fun and adventure, the story suits. The international take on the dolls- with the characters being from Germany, Peru, America, China, France, and England- and their varying cultural take, looks, and interests means there's a doll in the range for any kid. There is even a boy doll! I love this take on a doll range. As a doll collector, I would recommend them equally as much. They are hard to fit clothing for- I've ended up making clothing from Blythe patterns, with just a millimetre or so taken off the seams. Shoes are almost impossible to fit as the feet are quite large for this size doll, and the only things I own that fit are for the 23cm Hujoo dolls. Ken shoes sometimes fit, but look ridiculous. I've mostly handmade them sandals for outfits where their own shoes don't quite fit what I want. Despite the difficulty finding clothing for them, though, I've found that most Barbie furniture and accessories, and anything 1:6 scale just works beautifully, and I've adored having a set of dolls that work with all my little 1:6 scale china tea sets. The classic looks of these dolls is something unique to the scale, I think- it's a far cry from Monster High and Barbie, or my bjds, that despite their beauty, do have a very alien look to them at times. Kruselings have that old European classic look to them- not a surprise, knowing that they are inspired by Kath Kruze's dolls of old. The range of face moulds and skin tones is great, too. It's a range of six very different dolls, rather than six variations of a blank blonde doll. I've found them a welcome change to what I am used to. They don't have the range of motion of a bjd, but they come very close. I've not attempted customisation on any of my dolls. They're one of the few ranges that I've not really considered it. I actually like them as is!The ONLY fault I can find in these dolls at all, is that my Luna's head has the ever so slight wobble, and the heads do have a very slight click to them when they are turned to the side. And the joints sometimes squeak when moved. It doesn't seem as if they are struggling to move, instead, it almost seems as if they need just a touch of plastic-appropriate lubrication to make for a smoother movement. However, it does not seem to be all the time, or to all of my dolls, but I've noticed that a few other people that have all six dolls have noted the same issues- some dolls have a SLIGHTLY loose head, the heads always click in a strange way when turned, and the joints sometimes squeak when moved. For me, this does not impact my satisfaction with them at all, and is really something only a collector would notice, so not an issue for a child at all. I believe the clicking when turning the head is due to the fact that, quite unusually, the head is jointed where the neck meets the body, rather than the typical joint where the neck meets the head. This join really gives the doll a beautiful profile though, and adds to the 'realism' of her look, so I'm not bothered at all. It was just very surprising at first!Overall, these represent a really unique, all round amazing doll at a really affordable price. I chose the basic dolls in the whole range, but I'm very excited with the upcoming release of outfits and accessories. The quality and look of them makes them a worthwhile purchase, but the addition of extra articulation makes them outstanding. I don't think I've been so thoroughly satisfied with a doll range before.
