Good Product, Great Customer Service
First off, have to say that the product is one of the coolest looking sets of headphones I have seen out there and I love the uniqueness of it. I want to make two points in my review:1. Headphones sound great and fit great. The different sets of rubber fittings allow you to figure out which one works best for you. I wear these headphones off and on for 4+ hours a day and don't feel a lot of fatigue/irritation in my ears. The sound is very crisp, bass is deep and clear without feeling overly "thumpy". I listen to all types of music and have had a pleasant experience with all.2. The Company's Customer Service is downright great - the fact that they are a small, growing company is very evident in the way they treat their customers. The second time I wore the headphones the right earbud made a very strange noise and then proceeded to sound like the speaker had blown as the bass sounded terrible. I e-mailed the Company an inquiry about warranty and they responded within 48 hours that they will take the product back, no questions asked send out a replacement pair. There were multiple e-mails exchanged, all very professional and prompt and the Company had paid to have my headphones shipped back and sent out the replacement headphones which showed up 48 hours after I sent mine back. The whole experience was great and made me appreciate how buying from a "little guy" can really provide a quality product and service that you can't get buying at BestBuy. To put the cherry on top, I received an e-mail from the CEO a few weeks later asking me how happy I was with the replacement product and letting my know that they reviewed my headphones and didn't find any issues.Highly recommend getting these headphones if you are looking for a quality product at a great price point and great customer service!

Not Impressed
Let me say first off that I'm a serious fan of headphones of various types. I usually buy a new pair at least every 4 months. Just recently I purchased Merkury Innovations MI-HP5510 Metallic Earbud (Black) and was pretty satisfied with those sound-wise. Unfortunately they aren't very well constructed because the ear-tips became ripped thus no longer creating a seal while in your ear. At any rate on to these little guys:They come with a few different ear-tips and I managed to try them all yet I still got a very overall tinny sound. They remind me of Sennheiser's PX250's. There is a lot of separation and clarity but the highs can get so high that they hurt to listen to. It does a fine job with the mids but the bass is pretty lacking. Oddly enough I found them to be best suited for pop/hip hop which can be very bass heavy. Yet when I listen to rock (compared to other 'phones) the bass is barely audible. I don't know...maybe I'm a bass-head and don't even know it. But like I said before I tried these I've used Merkury MI-HP5510, Klispch Image S-4 and Sennheiser CX-300 to name a few and I enjoyed the sound from all of them in different ways. As far as the in-ear seal, they're certainly better than the S-4's for me but still manage to fall out every once in a while (especially while riding my bike). Also one of the reasons I bought these was because I didn't want sound leaking out. Unfortunately these leak out sound a lot for earbuds. So all in all not very impressed with my purchase and I wish I could return them. After the experience I've had with these I think I'll just stick to over the ear 'phones. The reason I didn't rate them lower than 3 was because obviously I'm one of the few people that aren't pleased with these so they cant be THAT bad. Just...not for me. If I had to recommend a pair to someone I'd suggest the MI-HP5510. They provided a great seal (hardly ever fell out unlike these) and pretty good sound quality (better than these as far as a "full" sound). Just be careful with them because they aren't as durable as they should be. But hey for 10 bucks and a lifetime warranty they're terrific.Pros:Sound ClaritySound SeperationLightweightWooden!Cons:Lack of bassOverbearing high mids to low highsPriceNot the best in-ear sealSound leakage(headphones currently owned: Sennheiser HD595, Klipsch Image S-4, Sennheiser PX100, Sennheiser HD448, Koss Portapros, Koss SportaPros, Zune HD 32 Stock Earbuds)

Great Sound, but they break quickly
I've owned three pairs of the Rain earbuds. I bought them multiple times because I loved the sound quality, they were comfortable (not all earbuds fit comfortably in my ears), and beautiful. In the end, all three of them died anywhere from less than 3 months, to slightly more than 4 months. In all three of them, there was the same issue; the sound stopped working in one of the earbuds, unless the wire was kinked in a certain direction, down where where the wire is plugged into the jack. In two of the pairs, at some point, the wooden part separated from the metal on the buds, but I glued that back together. After my third pair started dying on me this morning, I decided to switch to another earphone.I haven't contacted the company about this, so I can't speak to their return/replacement policy. While I could absolutely do that, I feel like having 3 sets of the earbuds die on me so quickly is pretty telling as to the quality. Especially considering that the same part broke repeatedly.Although I use my earbuds a lot (50 minute commute, + 1-3 hours a day at work, 1-2 hours at the gym most days), my mp3 player is kept in a special pocket in my purse, to cut down on how much it is jostled, moved about. At work, the mp3 player sits on my desk, so there's clearly not a lot of jerking or pulling going on there. At the gym, it sits in the machine, or in an armband with the extra cord wrapped. I try to be very careful of my things in general, & haven't had other brand of earbuds wear out like this.So for me, third time's a charm; I won't be buying these again.

Good sound, durability issues...
The sound on these headphones is pretty good if you ditch the tips and replace them with foam ones. On that basis, and for the first year, these would have been 4 star headphones. Unfortunately, at a little past the one year mark, they have stopped functioning properly: The connection is finicky at best, they sound like crap and most of the time there is only sound on one side or the other. If you need decent headphones to hold you over for a year, these are great. If you want more than a short-term fix, look elsewhere.
