AMX Acendo Vibe Conferencing Sound Bar with Camera, Black

This is an interesting device which I have been using in my home office for a few weeks now. It serves well as a combo device which has HD video conferencing capabilities and multiple audio inputs allowing for some flexibility. There is a remote volume control which also allows you to connect devices over bluetooth. The audio is good and the video works well. The practical use cases are somewhat limited to a conference room or office but it’s a fun toy. The unit is built well and connects without issue over bluetooth and HDMI. All round an interesting device which would be a fine addition for conferencing.

Overall, the camera was quite nice. Sound was okay, but not acceptable for this price tag. The microphone makes this product almost seem like a scam. When I upgraded to this sound bar the feedback I got was: "why is your microphone so terrible?" It's a bit better in digital mode over USB versus analog (default), but not much. I will admit, the isolation between microphone and speakers is quite good -- I'm able to have audio at ~80 db and as long as that audio doesn't have a similar voice to my own, I am still audible with no echoes (as much as the microphone is ever audible).

I actually bought this from another vendor for my church. I'm a professional AV installer and for $300 I think this is a good product. It was easy to install and literally plug and go. We have 10x15' room that we used it in for a interview with 5-6 people in the room. It captured all of them with clarity

Love that it really easily sets up for webex meetings. I don't lose time trying to fix connections anymore. Also, in addition to being used for meetings, I stream music to it via Bluetooth. The mic is very good. It picks up clearly from across the room. Finally, the camera is wide angle so all team members can be seen.

All was going well with this conference bar .. until somehow it wiped the bluetooth right out of my system. I've been trying for days to try and reinstall/fix my bluetooth with no luck. I've tried every recommendation and suggestion. At this point it seems I need to replace the bluetooth adapter or buy a USB dongle. Very upset about this. My system and bluetooth were perfectly fine until after I installed this and the software components for it.

Does not pickup sound more than 3 inches away from mic. Web cam is sub par. Requires a separate USB connection when sound is available through HDMI. Had to bypass HDMI because the system would not use a workable output resolution when passing through the video bar.
