Root Candles Honeycomb Veriglass Scented Beeswax Blend Candle, Drizzling Honey

Finding a candle that did not give me a headache or make me nauseated has been an uphill battle. I could never use candles with synthetic fragrances. I started trying out the soy candles made with essential oils, or so they claim and they were pretty well but still a bit too strong. The apple pie Dean Winchester candle was great, smelled like apple pie and the candle itself was really neat with its poem and photo of Dean Winchester-my favorite character from the Supernatural series. The scent ultimately became too overwhelming to use on a regular basis. Plus they charge $26 for just 1 candle which is completely outrageous. Then I started buying the Pet House soy candles with essential oils and their apple pie was also overwhelming but not as much as the Dean Winchester one. Their Vanilla Sandlewood was good but still, a bit too strong. I also purchased their Pina Colada one to get the summer vibe going and only a few minutes after lighting it, the scent made me so nauseated that I had to blow it out immediately! Since I have 2 dogs, I have to have something that will refresh me home because they can make it pretty stinky sometimes. I read that beeswax candles release ions in the air that actually eliminate odor. I found this one and couldn’t decide between the honey and vanilla but ultimately purchased the French vanilla since the vanilla candles I have previously purchased were always light on my senses and I am so happy that I did because I love it!!! The scent is very light. It does not make me nauseous or give me a headache at all. It completely eliminates any odor after being lit for only 10-20 minutes and it does not burn too quickly so far! I’ve had it lit for a few hours now and it’s still full. A delicious French vanilla scent fills up the entire house without it being overwhelming and best of all my dogs seem to enjoy it! Synthetic fragrances and some essential oils are toxic to dogs. They can make them sick, dizzy, fatigued and throw up. I am so relieved that I can make my home smell nice without anybody feeling ill or uncomfortable. The candle is also so beautiful!!! I do wish they were a little lower priced, $10-15 would be so much better but atleast I’ll be able to buy one every once in a while! If you are wanting a strong candle I would recommend the Dean Winchester candle brand or Pet House candles but if you have sensitive senses like mine, then these beeswax candles are the way to go!

Great candle. It has a nice scent throw without being overpowering and it burns for a long time. I will order again.

Overall, Root candles are among the best at this price point, imo. However, having purchased a number of their candles over the years -- and having purchased several of the Root Veriglass candles in a variety of fragrances -- this particular fragrance just does not meet with their usual standard of quality in terms of its fragrance. It's not unpleasant smelling; it just lacks any real oomph (you can barely smell it, lit or unlit).

I order this candle because I thought it said beeswax….however it turned out to be a “blend” with just some beeswax so mistake on my part. The candle is SO loaded with fragrance that I could smell it before I even opened the packaging. I still haven’t lit it and you smell it all over the first floor as if it is lit. It’s too much scent and causes headaches. It is pretty though.

I wish Root Candles still made this scent (or that I could find it!). It’s sooo nice and sexy, and the wax burns well.

Was hoping this would be a more natural scent but it's very strong and chemically to me. Also, the candle either melted or something because it's not filling the whole container when I received it. I also agree with the other reviewer regarding the tunneling. Made sure to trim the wick and burned it long enough so that the whole top would melt evenly and it still tunneled.

I read someplace that beeswax was the best type of candle to buy. I don't use candles often because I fear for the fire danger because if you're going to be smart should be in the room whenever they are burning. The scent is nice but is not very strong. It is okay I may or may not buy it again.
