Frostfire Mooncandles - Vanilla Scented Dripping Wax Color Changing Candles with Remote Control, 4-inch/ 5-inch/ 6-inch

These candles are AWESOME! The color change modes look really cool and they look real when they are not lit.Here are a few of the drawbacks that need improvement:1) When you set them to "flicker" mode to simulate real candles, the speed at which they flicker is a bit too fast to seem real. If they slowed down the speed of the changes in brightness, you may be able to fool someone that these are actually real. You can only notice if you look at them for a few seconds... anyone glancing at these will be none the wiser.2) BETTER PACKAGING!!! I ordered 4 sets of these in order to fill out a candle holder and one candle was broken in two of the four sets. These hollow candles are VERY fragile and packaging them by wrapping them in thin foam is NOT SUFFICIENT! Please improve this. The candles came very quickly and I received refunds on the faulty packages (which were clearly damaged during shipping), but now the product is unavailable and my candle centerpiece is looking woefully thin.Where can I get more of these?????

I bought these as part of a housewarming gift for my son and fiance because it's their first placeafter leaving home :0( and she mentioned getting some of these to use as nightlights since sheisn't familiar with the floorplan yet.They came in a nice box, packaged well and smell great. Subtle and you can't smell it a few feetaway...but that's ok.I think they could have done with out the dripping wax effect so much - like a little here and there butthat is ok too.The color changing effect is totally cool!!!!! I would have bought some for us too but our son told us thatthe batteries went out with in a few weeks. He thought that when he turned it off with the remote the batterywasn't being used but it is because it is always on "alert" and ready to go when it is beckoned to do so.Nevertheless, it is a cool set..just make sure you have a ton of batteries on hand..which I am sure you can buyright her on Amazon.

I have ordered these candles twice. Both times one of the candles was broken. They have a real wax shell around a plastic base. The first time I ordered these, the smallest of the three came in about 5 or 6 pieces which, after I got over my initial displeasure, I realized I could glue together and no one would know the difference.Again, with the most recent batch I ordered the smallest candle was smashed -- this time beyond repair. However, since it was my wife's intention to put one of the candles inside of a large vase, I broke off the remaining wax and dropped it in. No problem.The candles work great. If the packaging were sufficient they would get five stars.

These candles are great, they are made with real wax, which makes it look so realistic. Love the different light color settings too. This is my first time ordering these, so my rating is based on appearance. I do have one issue, I've had to return these twice due to shipping/packaging. They just dont put enough stuffing in the box to protect the product, therefore they arrived damaged each time. So I've had to return them. HUH so frustrating! I do love these, so I'm going to give it one last try, I placed another order and also contacted customer service, so we'll see how these arrive. Third time is a charm ;). It will be the last though.

edit after 2 months: replaced all the batteries, these are junk. 1 is completely dead, the rest don't respond correctly--or sometimes at all--to the remote. the light up whatever color they want. half the time i have to turn them over and turn them off and back on to get them to light up at all. total junk. wish I'd sprung for something a little nicer.original review:bought these to put in my nonworking fireplace for a little ambience.Pros: They don't look bad. The drippy wax on the outside is fine. And the smell is nice.But the cons outweigh the pros.First: there are 2 modes: on and "flicker". Flicker is actually like a slow fade off and on, more like a slow blink. Not nearly as realistic looking as others I've seen. And since these are supposed to be candles that seems like an important feature.Second: I specifically bought these because they came with the batteries already. I bought another kind and realized I would have to buy 18 AAA batteries for them. So I figured I'd rather pay a little more and get some that already had batteries in them. Have used them maybe a total of 5 hours so far, 2 are dead, the others are not syncing correctly with the remotes (bought 2 sets) and the instructions say that means the batteries need to be changed. If I feel like bothering I may pack them up and return, but I'm not sure it's even worth it.

Shipping was fast & the condition of the shipping box was fine but the smallest of the three candles were broken in 3 pieces, 2 large & 1 mangled one. I really like the candles so I melted the broken ones back together I wanted them on a very high plant shelf because I could turn them off & on with the remote but because of the broken one I couldn't arrange them so you couldn't see the repair job when they were lit. So now they are sitting on a table surrounded buy seashells & a star fish leaning on the broken one! Not a happy shopper right now. Of course I won't be shopping from this seller again.

I love these LED candles. All the different colors and flicker mode controlled by remote all work wonderfully. Only fault is when the switch on the bottom is left to "on" it will drain batteries regardless, so you need to turn them off all the time. The first shipment I received one candle was broken but amazon sent a replacement that came intact. I am happy with these candles and use them all the time, recommend this purchase for anyone that loves led lights like me.

Love the mild fragrance. These are so cool! Perfect to use as a flashlight walking through the apartment at night (instead of my phone), or in the bathroom for a relaxing soak. Only complaint is 1 of the candles' light is VERY faint compared to other 2. I don't use that one. Great price and fast shipping.

Well what can I say apart from FABULOUS !!! I own the philips candles but wanted something a bit more realistic .Theres a few mooncandles for sale on amazon and I watched a few in my shopping basket before deciding on these as take notice that some mooncandles are all the same size, some are different heights which is what I ordered and also theres the smooth sided ones and the ones which look like dripping wax which I wanted, also the vanilla smell is great .Firstly theres a switch on the base of the candles which you just place to the on position, and pull the plastic tab out the top of the remote , and wow amazing, there are so many colour options, greens , red, blues, yellows, purples and you can have the colour still or flicker (on the mode button), also theres a multicolour button so it changes itself, so much fun, I havent tried the 4 hr or 8 hr button yet-not sure if you just press it the once to set it yet, will try that out tonight.The box was adequately packed as these are real wax and id noticed some reviews the candles arrived cracked but no problems with mine...I highly recommend these and will buy some more!UPDATE DEC 11....They do seem to use a lot of battery power since Ive bought them ive had to change the batteries twice , but I still like them just need to stock up a bit on the batteries!

The appearance of these mooncandles is amazing - they are exactly like the real thing, minus the fire! I love the dripping wax effect on these, which made them stand out from other similar products. The different array of colours is mesmerising, and they are so much fun to use with the different modes. The vanilla scent is very subtle, so I couldn't notice it from across the room. The only minus is that the batteries do not last long at all - you'll realise when the colour change mode doesn't work and they stick on one colour. I didn't even use mine very often, but left the batteries inside, and when I next went to use them, only 1 out of 3 worked. But when fully powered, then a really nice decorative addition to any room.

what can i say about this product absolutly fantastic.no naked flame to worry about so there's no need to worry about leaving them unatended .the colour changing light is fantastic just set the colours you require for whatever mood your in with the remote control. you can have them on a constant light or have them flickering, which we prefer they look so real, and the vanilla smell is great to,i cant wait to use them outside on a nice warm evening when ever we get some nice weather.to put it in a nutshell these mooncandles are fantastic and would recommend them to anyone.

This was a gift for my wife, I had seen this product for a long time but was waiting for an excuse to buy it and I bought it for her birthday.I was afraid the candles would be thin but it was a nice surprise to find out how this product really is =)I bought this 4, 5 and 6" pack because I thought it would make a nice pack (it does), my wife loves candles and instead of keeping the lights on she's always lighting candles. She said something after I bought it (before the birthday) that made me feel very happy, she said "We need red candles" and I thought "well... it does red" =) eheheSo regarding the product, it has maybe 8 cm diameter (or more) and comes in three sizes, even the smaller one has a nice size.The light is different on each candle, you can see light at the top on all candles and as the size grows the body is filled with light in a different way. The smaller size candle is the most uniform but has much light, the bigger one has the lower half and the top lit and a dimmed upper half. The middle one has a nice fill not very bright and not so dimmed. So if you're thinking on buying a pack with same size in all three candles have that in mind, or buy this pack before ;) so you can see and decide later, depending on where you want to put it and how.It has realistic wax on the outside with a great vanilla scent that I never expected to smell so good and so much. The scent is soft and nice, and it is not constant in the room, you don't get tired of it because you notice it from time to time.It needs 3 x AAA batteries per candle and not 2 as said but it has batteries included so =) it's not like that toy you give a kid but not the batteries ;) for a moment I saw that look on my wife's eyes =) but then "ON" and "et voila".She has already ordered (me =) to buy a pack of 3x 6" or 3x 5" to put in other places so I think the days of burning candles this size is over ;)Everybody that looks at the candles think it's real ;) until they see the lights changing ehehehI must confess that yesterday I reached for the remote near the candles and I put my arm in a way it wouldn't get burnt =) OMG you can't help it! Fed up with buying expensive candles that burn down the middle and leave a shell of wax, I bought these. To be fair, I wasn't expecting a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. They take 3x aaa batteries each and they do go through batteries a fair bit - but probably still less money than £4 a throw candles. There are two modes: flickering or still and you can have them change colours. I tend to keep them on single colour and flickering - so they look like real candles. They also give off a nice vanilla smell when warm.... which is more than some of the so called "scented" candles do. A good buy :)
