Our 7 year old got this metal detector from Santa. Very disappointed at the product's lack of performance! He has asked for one nearly every day for the last 6 months. Well, he completely lost interest when he couldn't find the $2.50 in change my husband tossed in the front yard! This item does not preform! It does not detect known metal items covered by less than an inch of soil. You literally have to be an inch or less away to detect surface items. We are shipping this junk back to the "North Pole" so Santa can send a quality metal detector to replace it.

Okayish. If your looking for accuracy this is pretty weak. My son really wanted a metal detector and the excitement wore off pretty quickly when he couldn’t locate the the metal that he could see layering on the ground. The whole point of this tech is to be able to uncover a treasure under the surface and if it can’t find metal that is at the surface you’re not going to find anything buried. For the price I expected more. I would recommend investing the time into a diy version if you’re so inclined and don’t want to spend this money. Otherwise, you’re going to spend 200-300 on a solid detector.

Works well. We hid some coins out in the yard and let the kids “treasure hunt.” And in the process found a ring in the ground! I was surprised. Display screen is basic and simple.

Love this metal detector, looks great, and does not look cheap. Got it for a Christmas gift for one of my grandsons. Pretty sure he will be over the hills with this one.

We got both our boys one each for Christmas and they use it almost everyday. It's a great price and great for little explorers without worrying they will mess it up or being expensive. They have found little "treasures" and are always so excited. It doesn't got auper deep or anything, but does the job for a 7 and 9 year old. We plan to take it to the beach and see what they can find! And the storage bag is also great! Pole adjusts for their height, and all of it is easy for them to figure out, adjust, use, and handle on their own. Very happy

My granddaughter said this was one of her top three gifts and she received many gifts worth much more money. Unfortunately it arrived broken but Amazon replaced it within a few days. I was amazed to get the new one before we sent the broken one back. It is very light, And you have to be right over something for it to pick up a signal but she loves it and it’s a great opportunity to find out if your child enjoys a detector, before you invest in a more expensive one.

Purchased as a birthday gift for 7 year old Grandson.We went right outside to hunt for treasures.We found a rusty nail, old rust wire, a lid off a can. In the driveway was a beep. He dug deep and found the survey marker.Surprised to find this beneath the driveway.He has enjoyed this metal detector.I found it easy for him to use, the height and weight perfect for him.Definatly a great beginner Metal Detector.

I bought this for my 9-year old grandson for Christmas and he took it with him to their annual beach trip in June. Well, he had a great time with it finding things in the sand and even managed to find a real treasure. He found a sandwich baggy with a $5 bill and quarters in it that somebody had hidden and forgotten about! He loved using this product.
