So, we put a stripper pole in the bedroom and lined the ceiling with this...
Kidding! Covered the sides of an indoor greenhouse with this. Good stuff, inexpensive, tough -- holds up perfectly to staples -- and it's supposedly 95% reflective. This is nothing like the flimsy mylar space blankets, to date there's no tears or any flaking of the reflective mylar.

Junk
Yes...it has been a long time since I purchased this but I feel I must comment. When I received the roll it looked good...but once I rolled 3 feet of the outer layers out...JUNK!!! Like they were hiding it...there is a 1-2 foot clear area, basically half the width!!! I'm having to piece it together to make it work. I'm finally just fed up with it...was hoping it would clear up farther in the roll but no, it got worse.

A Great aid in blocking some of this hot, dry Texas weather.
Very speedy shipping. Great price! Rolls did have some creases on the rolls that I hope do not deter the effectiveness of the Mylar. We installed a piece over the top of shade cloth which we had installed to block the sun from our A/C condenser during the hottest part of the day. The ad does say that the Mylar is rip resistance but, we didn't want to take that chance since the wind whips the shade cloth around quiet a bit. So.... just to be sure it didn't rip, we spaced and applied several pieces of Duck HD Clear tape, for extra strength, where we attached the Mylar to the shade cloth with zip ties. So far so good. :-)

Looks great very durable!
I was making a flying saucer for a show set and I wanted it to look metalic. This did the job perfectly, I glued this to the skin of my spacecraft and everybody thought it looked awesome. This material is thin but very strong, there were times that I glued it down in the wrong place or the material stuck to itself while gluing and I was able to pull it apart and start over. Other material would have ripped.Tip- if you are planning to use this material as a covering for something use the following technique. Apply glue to both the mylar and the material that your attaching it to. Place sticks allow the length of material your applying it to and then lay the Mylar on top. this allows you to adjust the mylars position without it being glued just yet. When its in the correct position start in middle removing the stick and slowly smooth it from the middle to the ends removing sticks as you go along. then trim around the edges and your good to go. I had to do close to 400 square feet of material with this technique and it looks awesome with very few wrinkles.

Works
Easy to work with. Has a tendency to curl. I'm using to block sunlight and it does a great job. Markedly lower temps inside room now.

It works
I'm not a mylar connoisseur, but this stuff get's the job done. It would be better if I didn't have to layer 3x to keep from seeing the illuminated outline of the windows I was covering up but there are many theories about vegetable's reactions to light and how it reflects, refracts, get's absorbed, and also how little of it it takes to cause one. Assuming that it's reflective properties aren't faltered by it's translucency, I think I got what I paid for.

this is for your indoor garden or put in on the back of clear glass for a mirror look, if the Mylar is cleaned without any protection over it ,it will rub off with any cleaner

Reflective film - both sides.
The film is thick and is coated on both sides. I don't use it for growing but instead for a radiant barrier. Seems fine though it does seem thinner than the previous 2-mill film that I bought previously.

It got the job done, I wrapped a greenhouse with it. Overall it took about two layers to keep all the light out. I did notice some reflective film missing in spots but it wasn't a big problem.

Worked exactly as advertised

does reflect light
I gave a 4 star rating because every time it seems you touch the stuff, some of the reflective comes off, but once up it is nice
