Automatic Greenhouse Roof Window OpenerThis quality roof vent opener fits most common types and sizes of greenhouse vent. We have checked and this opener fits all popular freestanding greenhouses up to 10’ wide made by Eden, Halls, AGL and Simplicity. It also fits Gardman greenhouses but not Palram greenhouses. For other makes you will need to look at our picture. The flexible design ensures that this unit can be fitted to most greenhouses but no guarantee is given that it will fit a particular model.IMPORTANT NOTE:This vent opener also fits larger lean to greenhouses which are at least 4' deep but not smaller lean tos. This is because the cylinder hangs down and protrudes whenever the vent is not fully open. In a smaller lean to greenhouse e.g. 2'x4' or 2'x6' the cylinder would be obstructed by the front wall.The picture shows the standard vent opener. The two fixing clamps have been fitted to the aluminium frame.For most aluminium greenhouses the opener can be fitted using the clamps. The smaller vent bracket features elongated holes which allows you to position the clamp in just the right place. The larger frame bracket fits the greenhouse frame with four pairs of holes to help you position the clamp in the best place. For most wooden greenhouses the clamps are not needed but you will need wood screws which are not supplied. The elongated holes in the smaller vent bracket allow you to position the clamp in just the right place. The larger frame bracket fits into the greenhouse frame with four pairs of holes to help you position the clamp in the best place.For some aluminium greenhouses the clamps do not fit. In many cases the opener can still be fitted using the vent bracket with its elongated holes and the frame bracket with its four pairs of holes. You may need to drill some small holes in the vent frame and the greenhouse frame in order to secure the brackets.

Good price for this item
Good price for this item, well made and seems to work okay in the time I have had it fitted. Seller was first class delivered on time and item well packaged. Easy to fit to a standard B&Q greenhouse. You can either drill the frame to fit or just attach to the existing framework. This method has worked for me in the past as well with different window openers. Would certainly buy again.

Cracking value
Very good value for money and quick delivery. Some people have mentioned problems with lining up the existing holes in their greenhouse with this opener but there is actually no need to do so. The clips fit onto the edges of the frame and the window with no trouble at all and the screws will not touch the glass of your greenhouse if you have the normal rubber trim in place. I have been using these for years with no problems at all.

Easy Fit Vent
Bought one of these couple of years ago on my and works brilliant,on my all/min. greenhouse.Bought it for my grandsons greenhouse,which is a wooden one and the window is a bit more heavey than mine.Fitted it on his greenhouse and works brilliant.Going to buy him 2 more for other windows.These are good quality east peasy to fit and cheap.Well worth the brass.

Bought for an average size greenhouse. Managed to fit it with moderate swearing and minimal blood spilt. Instructions as clear as mud. Cant get the thing to close on an evening as the temperature control is neither use nor ornament. One turn is approx 1degree. Wish I hadn't bothered

Good value roof vent
Bought this to replace an old broken one. Seems well made and was easy to fit. My only reservation was that I had to adjust it to its maximum setting to get it to open wide on a hot day. Having said that it seems happy on this setting and has worked well. Good price on Amazon so no complaints.

Okay, but for the fixing.
Works fine, but, fitting two of them was a pain. Had to enlarge the main frame holes on my Halls greenhouse, and, once done, trying to line up the small fixing bolt was very difficult. I suggest you use posidrive self-tapping screws to secure the device. I did, but still had to remove glass to position and align the fixings. That said, I am pleased with the product.

Very reasonably priced greenhouse heat-powered window vent...
I purchased this @ £14 and, after a terrible & lengthy time that my husband had fixing it onto our greenhouse window, it works very well after some modifications. Not easy to fit at all. I now notice it is now priced £25 & glad I bought it at £14!!!

Window opener
This was the cheapest one I could find but not lacking in quality, Well made ,easy to fit and works perfect. No drilling to fit to my greenhouse and only took 30 minutes to fit tops. I really recommend this. It keeps the temperature in our greenhouse as low as possible . Our greenhouse is on a allotment so on warm hot nights there no worries, the opener does it's job.
