Robust ,quality socket and plug.
This is a solid well engineered IEC plug/socket, used this to repair damaged hedge trimmer cable as an in line connector, the male and female plugs are a tight fit and will not separate without firm pull, the quality of all the components is high and definitely worth the money.

Not fit for purpose, I think this is dangerous
It isn’t until you open the thing up that you see just how poorly this is made. I have been trying for an hour to see just how I can connect the three cables safely and have failed.

These just about do the job.
I wanted these in order to extend a cable on a kitchen appliance in an electrical and physically safe way. They do the job but the terminals are very poor. Each terminal is just a screw that the bare wire is wrapped around and then the screw tightened. No washer so the screw tries to turn the cable and spins it off the narrow surface of the connector. The result is that, maybe, a few percent of strands are connecting. Not ideal for 10 amps.In order to do an electrically safe job I added washers but still not convinced the cores were connecting so finished the job by soldering the cores to the posts. As I started. These are just about OK to do the job but could be a lot better.

Worth the extra
There are lower-cost alternatives, but these are worth the extra cost because they have decent terminals to connect to.

Cheaply made and not the best.
Will probably do the job. However no details on the terminals. Upon opening they are just a screw that you can either wrap a wire around and hope for the best which is sketchy as far as safety goes, or you will need to buy some spade or loop terminals to crimp on the cable and hope they are just the right size to fit in the connectors so you can get the lids back on.The copper parts seem rather thin too. See photos of all the parts and make your own mind up before you buy.Plug and socket seem to come apart from each other with little effort also, so not sure how good of a connection there is. Certainly nowhere near as good as when you plug an IEC cable in the back of a computer that’s for sure.I’d rather spend a little more on a higher quality version with normal terminals that the wire goes in and screws down like in a rewireable 3 pin plug. If I’d known about the terminal type in this I wouldn’t have bothered. Description and photos completely leave this out.
