About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words.Relieve your memoriesHow did you come up with the idea for this product? The biggest inspiration behind this was my family. I am a happily married man with 2 kids. Smartphone have made it easier me to capture those moments that mean the most to us, from birthday parties, to my daughter's first steps. We sit back and watch past videos on our TVs and phones which is great, but that's where it stops. And like every CEO does, I want more. Why not relive those moments and get that feeling back you had the day it happened? I want to bring that special feeling back which normal video hardly can. I want you to feel like you teleported back in time and to truly immerse yourself in the situation whenever you want. With VR Technology, that can be done. Lately, Virtual Reality has been booming. There are plenty of research, ideas about VR can change how we think, how we enjoy the worlds around us. I partially feel inspire with Chris Milk's Empathy Machine base on Immersive VR. Chris' ideas was that feelings can actually be teleported through space. How about through time. Those ideas simmers in my head for months. And now, my team and I proudly share the Teleport VR with the world. It was so amazing to see my little boy thrill when he took his first swim again. What makes your product special? This is the first Virtual Reality 3D Camera that have ever been made for daily usage. It is small, affordable and so easy to install that you can bring it around and ready to shoot. What has been the best part of your startup experience?Nothing can beats awesome feedbacks and the Teleport app keep filling up with heartwarming moments

Camera decent. App terrible.
Camera seems decent, not super amazing but I expected that. That app kinda sucks. There's no head tracking so watching my or others videos made me seasick if I moved my head at all. There's no obvious way to download your videos once they are uploaded to their thing. You have to disable the default delete from camera then manually go into the app folder and copy paste into a gallery. Also no still photo feature. It only takes video.

Run Away!
OMG this product is horrible. The app (required for the camera to work) doesn't install on my phone which it was advertised to do. I requested a refund from Amazon twice... still waiting. Also it only works (if you can get it to) with a social media account. It's not an independent camera that stores images on the phone.

Can Also Be Used With PC!
This is a pretty good entry level stereo camera. It can also be used on your PC! I plugged it into my desktop running Win 10 using a conventional sync/charge cable and it was immediately recognized and drivers loaded to create 2 imaging devices called "Stereo Vision 1" and "Stereo Vision 2". You can then use a stereo multiplexer like the one found at [...]

WAS a fun 3D camera. No longer.
Do not buy this product now. The servers to log in to the app to allow it to function no longer work. It is impossible to sign in to the app, and therefore it is impossible to record video using this camera. The company Autonomous does not list this product on their site any more and appears to have cut off support and service. And despite what I was told (as seen in my review below), the app was never updated to allow for pictures as well as video. If the app comes back into functionality, I will edit my review. But for now, if you buy this the camera it is a very expensive paperweight. Without the control app it is worthless. For history's sake, here is my original review from when it was still functional:I supported this during its Indiegogo campaign and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have had no problem at all with the camera, it connects to my phone (a Droid Turbo) and films smoothly. The camera connects to the phone via a microUSB cord. It is not a Bluetooth camera. That feature would be nice, but a direct plug-in eliminates the need to charge the device. If your phone has charge, you're ready to go. At the time of this review, the app will only take videos using the camera and I wish it could take still photos. However, I was told that this feature is in the works and will be available soon. The headset included is very comfortable and adjusts easily for best viewing. Unlike a basic Cardboard 3D viewer, this headset has the ability to be focused. You can also adjust the difference between the eyes, making the best viewing experience. The elastic straps fit around the head comfortably and keep it in place hands-free. The viewer works very well with the Google Cardboard app as well as a few other 3D apps I've tried.

A fun 3D companion camera for smartphone based video shooters...Capture your world in 3D!
I am writing this review as I obtained this product via their Indiegogo campaign and have also shared a lot of feedback with the Autonomous team and I absolutely love this product!!!The world of 3D was farfetched for the smartphone owners until the virtual reality gears kicked in and made it popular. Today, almost everyone owns a smartphone camera screen enabled VR headset. Thanks to Google's Cardboard app as well!I always wanted to shoot 3D with my phone as we carry our smartphone around and record most of the memories using them. Shooting in 3D and then watching them in your 3D TV or the VR headset would mean that you would re-live your memories through those videos (as if you are right at that moment).Just imagine watching your favorite moments again after a couple of years in 3D vs 2D (the smartphone video camera)!!!.As I hunted for one, I came across this campaign from the Autonomous team and I opted to get one. This was my first 3D camera and I did go through initial struggle as I had an old smartphone and this was a newer technology. For the love of this camera, I went ahead and purchased a new smartphone and boy was I amazed shooting 3D video of my kid playing with his toys. The camera has two lenses and it captures the left and right video files plus the audio. The android app (by Autonomous and its free!!!) is then used to process the file into an MP4 format which essentially is a 3D side-by-side (SBS) video clip. If you use their app or any other VR video viewer app to view it using their (or any other) virtual reality headset, you will be amazed as the moment you recorded can be re-lived and you will feel like as if you are standing right there!!!If you opt for Autonomous kit, they will even supply you with a basic VR headset which can fit your smartphone right in. They also offer google cardboard like headset and you can use it with google cardboard android app as well. The camera has a convenient screw clip to mount it on top of the phone. Alternatively you can hold it by hand to get variable angles and even zoom manually! The more close you get to the subject, more fun in shooting it 3D.The camera connects via a Micro USB cable (supplied by them with the camera) and hooks to your phone's micro USB slot. Their driver instantly recognizes the camera and takes you to their app for recording. Their app also uploads your videos to their secure server and you can mark it "private" so that it is not made public.A Trick: I was initially worried about having my private moments uploaded to their site. So I would wait for it to process and meanwhile turn off the internet connection and move their file to a safe place on my SD card. This way, it was processed but never uploaded to their server :)The camera comes with a pouch to make it easier to carry in your backpack or pocket. I usually carry it to capture moments in 3D.As you notice in the pictures, it does not have a flash and thus do not expect to shoot a scary movie in the dark :) It produces good videos in day light and at home. Having worked with a lot of flash-less cameras and smartphone cameras, I usually follow videography 101 and light the subject. These are our private videos and we are not trying to be professional here by any means :)There are a few things you should know before you buy this camera. Some people expect all the high bells and whistles specs in a camera, but are hesitant to pay less and mostly do not use all those features all the times. This camera in my opinion is a fun companion to shoot your moments in 3D.This Camera shoots good videos in day light, but is not a full HD or a 4K camera. Your smartphone may shoot better quality videos, however it will not shoot 3D (unless it is equipped with such hardware). If you have latest android smartphone running Marshmallow, you should have no problems in getting started. Also having a powerful processor and larger battery helps shoot more videos.I read some reviews where people thought that it was a wireless camera. NO IT IS NOT! It connects via a micro usb cable (comes with the camera). You must install their app from the play store (if android). Just type “Autonomous Teleport” and you should see it in the results. This camera driver is recognized only by their app and thus does not work with other apps such as the stock camera app.I saw one more interesting comment in a review about virtual reality. This is a 3D video camera which shoots 3D SBS video in MP4 format. You can use a VR headset to view the video. The immersive experience is VR like if you shoot around the subject. However if you move from your place while watching it in a VR headset, the video does not move spatially. The app has its share of quirks that the team is working hard to improve (I myself gave lot of feedback during their iterations of releases). So expect better versions of the app in future. There is no timer or TCR in the app. However I didn’t find the need for it as our focus is important to shoot the moments and not really bother about time.I did face issues where I recorded something for a longer duration (like more than 10 or 15 minutes) and then the app could not process it.However, if this happens to you, contact the Autonomous team and they can help you convert it. I have given them a feedback to create video converter software for such occasions. In my opinion, one should plan and quickly shoot the videos so that you can later edit them, merge them together and even add sub titles or titles and transition effects alike. This video size is pretty big and might fill up your storage space quickly if you do not pay attention. Also, longer the video, longer the processing time. I have a powerful latest smartphone and thus the processing time is not much. You sure can shoot videos one after another and it will process in the background. So go ahead and give it a try. It is a fun camera to own and you will enjoy the 3D videos it shoots.

Very satisfied Indiegogo backer
Was an indiegogo backer of this project and was very excited to get it. The Goggles are by far the most comfortable pair I own. I was having issues with the camera after upgrading to a Nexus 6p due to the lack of micro USB but autonomous support was very quick to reply about the use of otg adapters. Over all very happy to have the camera great way to relive memories in 3d!!

Don't waste your money
This does not work. I've tried it on multiple android devices with KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmellow. I even live chatted with one of their agents to try and get it to work, and he did not know what he was doing.I also made the mistake of buying 2 of them. One for me and a friend that has an iPhone. It was not mentioned until way later that this device will not work with iOS, even though in their ad, it was shown on an iPhone, misleading me to believe it would work with it.I believe this is a complete scam. Don't waste your money!
