Very large and durable. I bought it for flounder gigging but it’s an overkill for flounder and definitely frogs. I grew up frog gigging and this would ruin the meat. Very good tool for off shore or handling rough or dangerous fish, hard heads or large fish.

Best one I have found frogs stay on gig! Only downside it the tips are so sharp they fold over at the ends

If you want to get serious about taking out some amphibians in your yard, this is the tool. This is the 2nd Gig stick I got on Amazon. There will not be a 3rd. First night out in my own yard, not some crazy swamp, I took down 27 bufo toads. It was so effective that I could actually keep going with over 10 still on the barbs. This is absolutely wild and I couldn't believe how easy this was. I have absolutely zero skill set for this type of work and I looked like I have been hunting frogs for my whole life.

These are really well made and work great! I've gigged about 50 frogs so far and this thing works SO good! I've tried some other ones that were just a big ole let down so take it from me and just start here. They hold onto the frogs very well and are very tough so you can really put some force behind it if needed.

We lately have had big, really big buffo frogs. The shovel doesn’t work unless they are out in the open. Buffon are pretty stupid and slow I got my first one today after only one try! Recommended.

We purchased these to use when we go Snakehead Fishing, however I'm not sure if the fish are just that dense or what, but the tines on these things bend in every direction but into the fish after 1 or 2 uses. Sure, you can bend them back, but you can only do that so many times until durability is affected. We still have them and use them, though we will be replacing them soon I'm sure.
