Amazing Performance and Quality
Not much to preface this one with, other than mentioning that I am a very prolific chef, I usually cook a completely new recipe at least 4 times a week, so let's get straight to it.๐๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ก๐: 5/5As any good cook knows, cooking is both an art and a science, and the tools of the trade reflect that, you see all the influencers with pretty Damascus knives and patterned edge or end grain wood cutting boards, and this board would fit right into that scene, my kitchen isn't exactly small or cheap, but the cutting board alone makes me feel more like Gordon Ramsey than anything else I've bought or used in the past few months.๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ: 5/5No other cutting board has given me nearly as pleasurable or smooth a cutting experience as this board, prior to this I've been using random cutting boards purchased at the local Ikea, nothing as expensive as this, but it is ENTIRELY worth the price, if I knew that a few months ago when I first bought it, I would've bought a bigger, fancier model, but I was originally skeptical as to exactly how much of an improvement it is over generic cutting boards.๐๐๐จ๐ ๐ค๐ ๐พ๐ก๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐: 5/5You'd assume that since you can't just toss this into the dishwasher like other cutting boards, it would be considerably more difficult to wash this cutting board, but you'd be surprised to find that you're wrong, it's genuinely as easy as a good rinse, a swift patting down with a paper towel (a decent quality one like Bounty) or a dry towel/rag, and leaving it out to dry for a few hours.๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐: 4/5While it has picked up some scratch marks from my knife, they are purely cosmetic, I ran my hand across the board right after taking the photo attached to this review and there are, somehow, NO grooves, the scratches have ZERO depth, it's purely discoloration, the board is basically as good as new, no chips, grooves, cracks, or anything, I've even dropped it once, after applying mineral oil to it, and there was no issues.๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: Buy this cutting board, you won't regret it

Bought a matching set
So, we originally bought the larger ironwood cutting board with juice channel a while ago. We scored on the Amazon outlet finding it. After oiling it and using it continuously now, my husband requested a smaller one for easier everyday use (and less cleaning of such a large cutting board). Enter the 14" ironwood cutting board! Unbelievably, we got lucky again on Amazon outlet and found this bad boy. It perfectly compliments our larger cutting board with the same design. We love the size and ease of cleaning. This thing was thirsty! After oiling a few times, it's absolutely stunning! My husband was thrilled about the price. Happy husband = happy home :) He loves cooking and I'm glad this was just what he wanted. I will never buy another cutting board again. I forsee this one and our larger one lasting a very very long time.

Excellent cutting board.
Itโs very sturdy, doesnโt scratch up, and doesn't transfer strong flavors to other foods, which is a concern with some wooden boards. I just scrub it with a brush and some soap after certain foods like garlic, Jalapeรฑos, or onions, and I havenโt had a problem. The thickness makes it messier to transfer chopped food to prep bowls compared to plastic, and a little cumbersome to wash in a small sink, but the durability and lack of wear on knives more than makes up for that.

Nice cutting board!
2021 UPDATE: I've had this board since 2011 and it's larger cousin, the 14x20 version since about 2016. Both boards have held up remarkable well. As I noted in my original review, I removed the small rubber pads that serve as feet from both boards, making them two-sided. Other than washing and regular oiling with mineral oil, they have required no special care. All the glue joints remain nice and tight, there are no cracks in the wood itself, and I use one or the other board nearly daily. My only concern is that acacia wood, which is what these boards are made from, is quite hard and tough on knife edges. I don't lose any sleep over it, but if you have super sharp knives (especially those made from softer steel), you might need to have them sharpened a bit more frequently. Overall, though, I'm very happy with the performance and longevity of these boards. Although a bit worn looking, they still are fantastic for cutting. Recommended. This is a really nice end-grain cutting board for a very reasonable price. It is a very hard and fast surface, so it's really good for prep work. The craftsmanship is quite good; all the joints between pieces of wood are tight, and there is not wood-putty filler used to close cracks or joints (as is sometimes found on cheaper boards). I'm very happy with the product. I did remove the little rubber feet from the bottom side of the board, and now I have two functional sides for cutting!

Very good wood but why do you varnish it, it has to be oiled?
Not a first time buying from this seller, but this time it came in varnished. Previously they were shipped raw sanded wood and needed to be oiled. Which makes them soft to the touch and super easy on the knife edge. varnish defeats that purpose and makes this board as good as any cheap board out there. Still reviweing it at 4* as its a damn good wood. For people who buy it, do youself a favor, sand the thin layer of varnish away, and oil the board. It will have a much richer deeper color, also oil will protect your board from splitting and smelling over time, and of course it will protect your knifes edge. Highly recommend but its dumb for the seller to varnish it. Please stop doing it.
