Motordyne 5/16 Copper Isothermal Plenum Spacer 350Z G35

I bought this because I had to rip apart the plenum to change some valve cover gaskets anyway. Working on a VQ motor is a pain, but the install for this particular item was not too bad, instructions were very specific, with torque specs and all. The Fitment is perfect and the power gain is noticeable. The car is a very mid range car and I feel this gave some power in the lower to mid band.The hood clears, but you need to follow the directions, and possibly experiment, otherwise the engine may rattle against the strut bar a little but only under heavy load (accelerating full throttle from a dig). Not a huge deal, though. My rattling issues went away when I actually followed the specs provided. Also, I recommend using the locktite where they recommend. I didn't and those bolts did come loose. Fixed it with the locktite and it was fine.

Great performance enhancement. I have a 2005 G35 Coupe 5AT and it seems to rev faster and pull harder than before. Haven't noticed any mileage increase, but seems a solid mod for the price.Install was pretty straight forward, though there are a lot of bolts to take off and put back on.Make sure you have a small torque wrench, you will need it when putting it all back together. And make sure not to pinch the gasket or you'll get a sucking hole.Good product, fast shipping, good price.

This is the second time i purchase this spacer kit, my first kit was over 5 years old and i never had an issue with it. The time came when i had to replace the valve covers on my Z so i took advantage of the situation and bought the kit again. the first kit was showing it's age but after removing it it still looked structurally solid, i still have the first kit in storage, i decided to keep it for spare parts if i ever needed it. The gaskets and all the hardware all good quality, with the exception of the HEX machine bolts that bolt your throttle body to the upper plenum. Those bolts were rusted but still maintained good strength when it came time to remove them. the first time i purchased this kit i was living in Virginia so i opted for the copper plate, now i live in Florida but i still purchased the copper plate kit because i tend to move around from state to state and helps having the piece of mind knowing that i don't have to worry about adjusting the coolant line valve the other version of this kit comes with. I was very satisfied the first time i purchased this spacer kit, enough that i purchased it twice. By the way, the price at the time i purchased this was really good on Amazon compared to other sellers.

Was ok but not instructions

Immediately knew I modified my engine and made it breath better. The bonus is the growl my G35 Sedan now has!! Second and Third gear pull very hard. My car felt fast before, but now there is a new sensation, it feels tough. Added a 350Z Intake tube at the same time, known as a 'Z-Tube'. Highly recommend both of these mods. If you're not a mechanic, have a mechanic help you install this, to the letter!!! Read up on torque wrench - lb. feet to inch feet - conversions or you will crack your manifold.

Very easy to install with a basic understanding of tools and a good friend to help. Brought everything you would need, to include extremely detailed instructions. Pay very close attention to what you take off. Definitely would recommend to any Z or G owner. Gave my car a bit of a kick with a tune up as well.

Motordyne is known for their quality plenum spacers. I installed this myself in about 2 hours with tools from my house. I don't recommend installing it if you don't have automotive repair experience. I do notice gains and increased power, mostly between 3-5000 RPM range. Worth every penny

Like it very much I can definitely feel the horse power gain. Installation was very easy. Although they did forget to send me the copper spacer, I called them and they sent it . The only problem I ran in too was, my idle wad of at first but I notice when I bolted the spacer, that the plasticaround the oil cap had caught into the spacer. Not a hard fix I just had to loosen everything up,and then tighten everything up again.
