This is the best book I have ever read on the topic. Whether like me you plant a few heirloom tomatoes and green peppers, are growing for your own backyard agribusiness or looking to increase production for your neighborhood collaborative, you will find this useful and interesting. The writing is informal, topics are brilliantly researched and the graphics are excellent. I recommend it highly.

This book is very well researched and written. Not just for gardening enthusiasts but all matter of organic products (eggs, honey, etc.). Many helpful photos and sensible guidelines. You must buy this book!!

Just what I was looking for...

I just got this book on Sunday and I have to say it is everything I thought it would be. Andy covers a great deal of topics and he does in a way that makes it seem easy and make sense. He covers all aspects of small scale farming. I plan on using this book on our website and Facebook page to answer questions. He is knowledge of the soil is remarkable. And it addition the book is filled with so many beautiful photos. I have also seen what he and his wife have raised on their 1 acre of land and it is incredible.
