The best of its kind
This an update to my previous 5 star review to confirm it! A major complaint about these bed pads is that they don't have a plastic lining on the bottom and thus are not completely waterproof but that is their best feature in my opinion and why I continue to buy them. I have a feeling that the majority of people who give low ratings because there’s no plastic backing are not the ones actually sleeping on the plastic pads. If you compare the cheaper plastic-back pads to these great pads the difference is immediately visible and obvious. I had to order another brand because these were out of stock last time. Ugh - misery! The other brand, and not unique to them, had a batten filling under the top lining attached to the bottom side. As you can see in the picture, the filling separates leaving uneven coverage under the lining and exposure directly to the plastic -no way for the skin to breathe and if it gets wet, it’s trapped against bare skin. This pretty common to many of the plastic back liners. The Ritters by contrast are a quilted top somehow fused right onto the bottom liner. The top soft padding which doesn’t move or shift separately from the whole pad itself absorbs the urine and drys pretty quickly protecting the skin. And because nothing is plastic the skin and body can breathe which doesn’t build up heat and sweat which is even more uncomfortable (and smelly). Hey, I’m NOT saying these bed pads are perfect and they may not be for everyone but I’ll bet for those who are elderly and/or bedridden and not easily able to communicate their degree of comfort or may find it embarrassing to discuss, these pads are going to be a lot more comfortable. They are more expensive and they do share in common with every other brand I have tried one drawback which is that they lack any kind of adhesive on the bottom to help them stay in place so while they are not as slippery as the plastic ones, they still have a tendency to move with the body in bed. This is more of a problem for me getting out of bed so not so terrible. I use one in the car and on the chair in my home office. I can’t fix my body but at least I can feel a little more confident that I’m “covered” so to speak in places where I’m vulnerable to “accidents” because of my incontinence.

These are the ones
The insurance company supplies those awful fluff-filled pads. Was introduced to quilted pads when they were in the hospital. The brand is available online but you don't get many for the price so we had to try for a more cost effective alternative. I wish you could subscribe to these. So sturdy, they aren't exaggerating when they say you can use them for turning-even when wet, so no pull sheet needed and one less thing to bunch up under them. They don't bunch or curl or disintegrate and they cut down on sweating building up moisture because no plastic. They're also wider than the fluff pads so they go further because you're not doubling to go side/side on the hospital bed. We keep a reusable pad underneath as a precaution but there's been no leak through.

Genuine review!
I purchased this because my cat is struggling with some urinary issues. My friend recommended getting the underpads to protect fabric furniture and carpet! I laid down a few of these in the area where he had accidents before. It works really well! SUPER absorbent and totally protecting furniture and carpet. It doesn't happen every day, but when it does, I just pick it up and throw it away. No more deep cleaning! I think this would be great for people as well as pets in training. * I hope my review was helpful. This is my genuine review after purchasing and using the item for about a couple of months. I will update my review later to discuss any issues or concerns if they arise.

Great quality at Economical Price!
Great product for reasonable price. Nothing will absolutely, every time protect from a leak accident. Was very pleasantly surprised at durability and quality of this product particularly since much cheaper than other brand used by hospitals. Had that brand not jumped in price over few months I would not Have been tempted to look for more economical brand. So glad I found this; it's as good as product twice the price.

These are the best pads I have ever used.
These are everything you would want in a pad of this type. They are large and absorbent. Strong enough and big enough to use as a pull sheet when taking care of someone who is bed bound. I bought them to use as puppy pads and found out they were superior to anything that I had used before in the way of adult underpads for my mother when she was under the care of hospice

The best dog pads ever made
These pads are not made for dogs, but they work great. They stay in place on a rug and absorb a lot of fluid. All my dog friends want to know where to get them. They are well worth the money.

Very strong
These are the best bed pads I have ever used. The size is excellent and does not fall apart even when I've had to tug on it. They are quite absorbent, however I usually use two just to make sure the sleeping area is fully protected. I would definitely buy again. I expect they will last quite some time, as I don't need to change both daily.

The best pad I’ve ever used but, pricey.
These pads are every bit as good as and even a little bit better than my regular pads. However, they are exactly double the price. I ordered them in a pinch. My regular ones were out of stock. In my opinion, definitely one of the better brands for sure! However… I still feel moisture on top of the pad after it has been wetted. I’d really like to find a pad that actually doesn’t allow moisture to remain on the surface. Is that a dream? Like a diaper or an incontinency pad. The top of these items is dry while all of the moisture is contained. I breed dogs. I use these pads to line their enclosure. When the puppies are young, they will lay right on top of their potty! It’s horrible. I would really like to find some thing that will keep the urine off of my babies! I think these will be very nice pads for you but be advised, the urine will still touch the skin or the fur, whatever you use them for.
