ESXi using a PERC 5i card
This cable was what the doctor ordered. I had purchased a PERC 5i card from Ebay before realizing it was cabled for SAS drives. After some searching around and reading on forums I purchased this adapter. Works great and my raid 5 volume consisting of several SATA drives has no complaints. This was for one of my whitebox ESXi servers at home. I was wanting something similar to the performance I have at work on our iSCSI SANs and realized that for my home system I needed beefier disk I/O. This cable helped me complete that project nicely.

Exactly as discribed - works with my LSI SaS controller but not Perc 5i , quick shippingGot here quick and is exactly what I needed to repurpose an old LSI SaS card , I tried it on a dell perc 5i and perch 4 card and it didnt find the drive I had attached to it , but I barely tested that at all , I didnt even go into the cards config utility it may have seen it but just needed to be set up etc etcItem was shipped quick and got here right on time . pretty high quality for what it is , the length of the sata cables is great too , not too short not too long

Works on PERC 5i
Like most others here I bought this to use on a Dell PERC 5i. It worked perfectly. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that each of the SATA cables were labled 1-4 with heatshrink labels. Very nice touch!Great price. I order it Friday night and I had it on Monday...in fact I had the shipment in hand about 3 hours before I got an email from Amazon letting me know it was shipping :)UPDATE: Bought a second cable to expand my PERC 5i. Great seller and price. Second unit still has the 1-4 labels on the SATA ends.

The cables work as it should on the HP P400 ...
The cables work as it should on the HP P400 controller. All drives show up as populating bay 0. One thing though, if you're using this on a full tower ATX case, the cable might not be long enough. I had to order a 1m version to reach the other connector on the controller.

Perfect for what I needed
Perfect for what I needed. Though after putting my RAID card in a new case which is a tight fit i may want to find one that has a 90 degree bend in it on the SAS connector side. If you guys sell them please let me know!

Works as expected
I'm using one of these cables in my NAS to connect my Dell PERC5/i RAID controller to a set of older Samsung EcoGreen 1.5TB hard drives. Everything works as expected. The length is perfectly adequate without being too long in my 4U case.

Works if used properly
Cable is well made and of high quality. Please note that the SATA connectors MUST be connected to the targets (drives) and the SFF connector to a RAID controller. This cable will NOT work the other way around.
